I agree with the premise of competition, I disagree it has to be Microsoft. If they stay around and try to win back consumers via smart consumer-friendly practices then great. If they don't and there is money to be made in the market I guarantee you someone (major corp) will jump at said possibility.

That competition spent a crapton of money to keep Titanfall exclusive to one console when that money could have been spent on making another game.
