*One price drop.

The Kinect SKU was $450 instead of the $500 at launch. Kinectless was $350 ($50 drop). Also, didn't Sony have free game bundles/Black Friday deals too?
It dropped to $329 before black friday. Also it was two price drops in less than a year. Sony did include GTA/Last of Us inside for the base price of $399 but that was only on Black Friday and they sold out (at least on Amazon). But still Microsoft was very aggressive in their pricing. The thing is every system is being sold at a loss at this point.

It's official: PlayStation 4's streak of being the best-selling console in the United States is over. Microsoft's Xbox One officially beat out Sony's console in the United States for the month of November.

Microsoft released the following statement to IGN, attributed to Xbox Marketing's Corporate Vice President, Mike Nichols.

We are committed to making Xbox the best place to play, with this year’s best games, the best community of gamers to play with, and terrific value. And we are amazed by the excitement Xbox fans have shown to start off this holiday. November set a new record for sales of Xbox One, and Xbox One was the best-selling console in the US and UK. Response to the holiday lineup of games on Xbox One was incredible, with Xbox One fans buying more games in November in the U.S. than any other gen eight platform and enjoying over 357 million hours of gameplay globally. In fact, more fans logged into Xbox Live across Xbox One and Xbox 360, and enjoyed more entertainment, than any other month in the history of Xbox. We love to see the excitement from our fans and are grateful for their passion, support and contributions to the Xbox community.

The NPD Group has also released its top 10 games sold at retail for the month of November. As always, the consoles listed in parenthesis next to each game represent the best-selling to worst-selling SKU for each game.

1.) Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare (360, XBO, PS4, PS3, PC)
2.) Grand Theft Auto V (PS4, XBO, 360, PS3)
3.) Super Smash Bros. (NWU, 3DS)
4.) Madden NFL 15 (360, XBO, PS4, PS3)
5.) Pokemon Alpha Sapphire (3DS)
6.) Far Cry 4 (PS4, XBO, 360, PS3, PC)
7.) Pokemon Omega Ruby (3DS)
8.) NBA 2K15 (PS4, 360, XBO, PS3, PC)
9.) Assassin's Creed: Unity (PS4, XBO, PC)
10.) Halo: The Master Chief Collection (XBO)

for some reason I find it infinitely humorous that Smash for Wii U and 3DS are combined yet the Pokemon games are not. I understand why, it's just still humorous to me.

That's incorrect and it looks like he's selectively grouping SKUs.

Pokémon is after Call of Duty either way.

2 months in a row, no Sunset Over Drive
oh well

Surprised no Dragon Age, very surprising

No surprise Xbox One, they had to bleed money just to win once and give their fans something to talk about it but they finally did it

That Wii U figure is extremely low, it couldn't even reach 250,000 units, that's a pitiful showing. I suppose that Xbox 360 must have sold more units, so much for getting a good result this month in the prediction league. Well, it could have been worse since I had PS4 over Xbox One before my last second change.

Super Smash Bros. 3DS/WiiU count as one game when it has severily different stages and modes, Pokemon ORAS count as two games even tho they are essentially the same game. Um...ok?

Looking at Nintendo's PR, glad to see Both Smash's and Pokemon's doing well. I hope LBP3 did okay...

I'd be surprised if they didn't win. I'd be even more surprised if there was significant profit made from those super cheap bundles.

They don't care about profit at this point. Microsoft just cares about staying relevant enough in America so they don't get become an afterthought. US is pretty much the only market they have a foothold in now.

as sales of Wii U hardware and software increased by more than 10 percent and more than 90 percent,

That means less than 250k right?

AND DAMN IT. MY ORIGINAL PREDICTION WAS SO MUCH CLOSER
