I go to the gym for like 1:30-2 hours 3-4 days a week. Sometimes 5 depending if I have the time. I use to focus on everything but currently I'm aiming at 40- 1hour of cardio every time I go and abs to shrink my stomach and sides. I'm focusing less and less on chest and back these days but I still work them. I'm struggling with legs and my ass, they will not thin!!!

You though!!! You are beautiful and are doing incredible. I'm proud of you! Remember any and all workouts are better then the one you skipped "just because." I tell myself that atleast. I do however understand and can relate with the whole "feel like a whale" as I can workout, leave and just feel disgusting still. =(

It'll get better for us BOTH! We just need to continue pushing forth and the end game will be so worth it!!
Lol for sure, we will conquer this shiza my friend.

I love going to the gym and getting stronger and reaching new strength goals (she's trying to become a powerlifter). But all the hot guys give me anxiety. That's why I go in the morning, where I can only compare myself to the grandpas that work out next to me.

I have the problem where dude bros like to prove themselves bigger and stronger.

Though thankfully most are cool they just treat me like one of th guys because I get right in there and power lift with them for the most part.

I hate it. Too many hot guys sometimes and it's sweatpants season... struggleman.jpg

I just keep my head down and focus on my workout. Was tough today though because a bunch of guys with huge arms were working biceps today.

Strong ladies <3

One time I was squatting and this girl who was maybe a little taller than me asked to work into my set. And she totally kept up I was so fucking impressed I mean she basically keeled over and died but no pain no gain.

Nice try but not true as I've explained a million times!!! Most high schoolers can out bench me! The only thing I've got on those guys are my legs which isn't that impressive considering straight men skip leg day like fools. I got 315x10 today though on squats i was going for 12 but I got too tired after 10... I'm not a cardio binch.

Omgoddess she sounds amazing.

I've had a few ladies talk with me but when I offer them to join they usually decline but a few get in there and put me to shame and every time I am so damn happy to get schooled.

Love power ladies.

I sincerely love going to the gym everyday. I even go while on vacation. Why deprive myself of one step closer to my goal?

I go 3 days a week but I have been debating bumping myself up to 4 days a week and splitting off my arms as a separate day from my back and chest and REALLY kill those days. That being said being 125 sucks I am eating but I dunno how fast I am gaining weight. I def. wanna look more buff and fast and it takes time.

I got so frustrated going to the gym on and off for three years and not once was I ever able to go past 100lbs bench, lol. Mostly just go occasionally now to maintain what I've got instead of trying to be better. Being almost 40 and working a busy, very physical job makes it pretty impossible to start a legit fitness routine.. shoulda gotten into this 20 years ago.

I swear, people like this must think others are as stupid as them i'll never understand this behavior.

I encountered someone similar for a date.

I worked my way up, starting from just one day a week. Might want to try tracking macros to make sure you're eating enough calories overall and enough protein specifically. Diet is almost always the answer to a lot of fitness problems.

I am trying to do a gallon of milk a day and almost have a protein shake daily so protein ain't the problem. It is the struggle of eating 3-4k calories a day. Particularly when I work 12 hr shifts.

Almost done with Persona 5, the tail end of this feels rushed in certain places but overall I enjoyed myself.

I played the first eight hours and then moved on. Felt too bloated and the game is reportedly like 100 hours long. That said, I'll admit that in my older age, I gravitate more towards concise games these days...

Yea no GOMAD is not a healthy option. There are plenty of gainer powders you can buy that are much healthier or you can just make a huge smoothie with a bunch of stuff thrown in to meet your calorie goals.

Persona 5 is really long, I don't recommend it with those who don't have the time or patience.

There's doing the story and having to do the side stuff to build your social abilities as well as social links to gain more abilities for battle.

Persona 5 still breaks my heart.

Damn, I don't get why they can't just let me have a FemMc, like don't give me any sex scenes of full Romance social links or just write it so everyone rejects her or something.

I just can't go back after getting a FemMC in P3P.

P3P did it really well, I hope they revisit that someday.

It did.

That is probably what hurts the most, they showed they can do it if they want, they just choose not to.

Then they never even reference her in all the other P3 stuff, its like they regret doing it and it totally sucks.

Holy fuck I'm laughing hysterically. This is possibly the great thing ever.

Are JRPGs maybe more popular in our communities?

Also is anyone else watching The Good Place? It's like if Lost was a sitcom but better. The writing goes in amazing directions from the opening premise, of Kristen Bell going to heaven in a mix-up because she is actually a horrible person, and having to learn to be a good person to not be found out. It is a serialised sitcom with episodes all ending in cliffhangers, many of which move the story forward significantly.

I play a bunch of JRPGs still, even if I'm increasingly getting burnt out by the anime tropes. Finished Trails in the Sky 3rd and Dragon Quest VII this year.

And I watch The Good Place! Still need to see last night's episode. Great show.

I hear ya!, if it were up to me i'd train everyday. Alas the body needs to heal up at least a day or two per week (depending on the intensity of the workouts).

My overzealous raving about p5 got a few of my friends to play it, and they pretty much all loved it. The best thing I did was explain that the game doesn't really start until 10-15 hours in. The super long intro in p4g is why i originally hated that game lol.

1. Most of the gaymers I've met love some combination of Nintendo, JRPGs, and Overwatch. We stay having the best taste tbh.

2. The Good Place is AMAZING. I binged all of the first season in like a week.

I started watching it on a friend's recommendation. Finished the first season, which I found enjoyable but not particularly funny, and I couldn't understand why it had such a cult following. That said, every episode of season two so far has been excellent. It's also a show, like Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, that has a sort of casually diverse cast, which is really nice to see.

My boyfriend has Aspergers - can anyone advice on something that happened this morning?

I'm a student - my bf's been sleeping in accommodation with me. We were both woken from deep sleep by a fire alarm. It's a particularly loud and obnoxious fire alarm. He has heard it before - it's pretty common in my halls.
This time instead of waking up like me, he was making a noise that was somewhere between a mumble and a scream and shaking violently. It's hard to guess how long these kind of things go on for but I held hold him and yelled his name about 4 times before he woke up properly.

He was kind of in denial afterwards that anything had even happened. I don't think he has an idea of what I should do anyway.

Slight tmi but relevent
I farted after we got back into bed later and he reacted the same way for a short amount of time.
He also seems to jolt/shake in his sleep from time to time for no reason I can see.

Really need any advice on what the issue is (besides fucking horrible noise) please and how I can help - for his sake and because his reaction is almost as terrifying to me.

Maybe it's night terrors? I'm not sure though. https://www.sleepassociation.org/patients-general-public/sleep-terrors/

I had a boyfriend who was also an aspie (same as your boyfriend, I am not) and he did something similar once, starting to chant in Spanish when he was asleep and he tensed up, including his hands which our fingers were interlaced. I was concerned like if he'd hurt me in his sleep. When he woke up I tried to repeat what he had said, as I don't know Spanish, I forget what the translation was but it was something dark.

What'd I miss on my vacation
Welcome back!

That sounds even more bizarre than my story this morning - I'm guessing you never got to the bottom of the mystery?

Thanks for the link - his reaction I guess was somewhere between night terror and fit. I suppose the only thing that might disqualify night terrors would be that it occurred from him waking rather than sleeping.

He told me today he had something similar from a loud noise in a film when he was like 10 - not in bed at the time. Confirms today's mystery fit is not caused by recent change anyway. Poor boy.

I'll try and get him out of it if it when it (hopefully) never happens again :(

Appreciate the advice!

so does anyone have a lettersgaf discord (if that's still a thing) invite laying around? I've gotten more fond of Discord lately.

Can't promise I will be a lot more active there than I've been in here lately though.

... ah, the lid coming off of sexual assault is what I apparently missed. Feels like this has been swirling for many years before emerging into the light. There's a number of discords for queer and trans folk, if anyone doesn't feel comfortable here anymore.
