So...what other figure related forums do you guys hang out in? I'm asking because reasons.

PM Diggeh and I for the Discord we use. It’s all engrossing but we have a decent toy chat going. Same goes for anyone. Was coming to post that offer when I read this.

I'm about ready to register at Fwoosh. I'm that desperate.

I'm pretty happy with the 6" BS Jawa. The articulation is pretty limited but I'm not even mad.

Just want to talk about the Legacy Power Rangers figures and how great they are.
I really like how they're scaled so they don't fit with any other line of figures, making them really unique.
It's also pleasant to see how well they captured the likenesses of the Rangers, especially the female ones and their DD-sized cups.
Really portray the teenager look for all members better than most figures out there.

Found another thread I never checked out!
Psyched to get a SHF Mark 1 War Machine and Mk VI Iron Man to go with my Mafex Hulkbuster. Luckily I'm almost out of room so can't buy too much more...

No, you just move to the piles-of-boxes phase. Unless you're already there?
Next step: renting climate-controlled storage.

My garage and closet in my mancave is pretty crazy already.
Not sure how to fix the problem - might start getting rid of some Transformers.
Hope I don't get to the storage phase hah

At least you're collecting 1/12. It could be worse... so much worse.

Hey guys, long time lurker. I've really enjoyed and appreciated the talks and announcements of new figures (specially davidwhangchoi Metal Build announcements) and would like a discord link. I promise I'll stop creeping on you guys from the bushes.

No articulation but I am damn excited to have just acquired this. Won her in Yahoo Auction on a proxy bidding site for half of what I'd have to spend pre-ordering it.

These make me sad since I am missing red and black and no store seem to carry anything but yellow space

I cracked up when I saw them in Midtown Comics, especially considering that the original Yellow ranger was a dude in the original Japanese series, and a Vietnamese with the standard limited cleavage in the American (no diss on the late Thuy Trang). Any cleavage for these figures would be five cup sizes too much. The Blue Ninja Storm Ranger cracked me up for your above reasons.

Goddamn. That's some good luck! I pre-ordered her re-release and paid full price because of how stupid her aftermarket price had gotten in general.

Just paid for the upcoming Hot Toys Star lord figure based on Guardians 2 which is apparently shipping in January. Based on promo shots it's a massive leap in improvement over the GOTG1 version - looks a lot more like Chris Pratt. Tons of accessories too including alternate wardrobe, baby groot, helmet, jetpack, etc (got the deluxe version).

This will be my second HT figure. If it looks as good as the promo shots (and HT figures pretty much always do) I will be pleased. Still pricey, but when you realize you're essentially getting articulated 1/6 scale high-quality wax museum sculptures of these characters, you can't complain too much. Just glad there aren't many movie or game IPs that I'd buy action figures of lol.

Was looking for a Wonder Woman figure for a friend's birthday present and stumbled upon this:

https://www.sideshowtoy.com/collectibles/dc-comics-arkham-knight-hot-toys-903075/

Can't believe they're making this now. AK is one of the dopest designs of all time, but given how long it's been since the game's been out, who's going to buy this (aside from me)? I'm tempted, but I'm thinking I should wait for it to drop in price like Zod's figure did.

Edit: Actually just checked and it looks like Zod's gone up a bit. I remember seeing him on eBay for ~$150 or so.

I remember when I had bought my 2nd Hot toys figure in 2009. You realize you're hooked now eh? Your wallet is dead now.

At least Hot Toys figures are easy enough to move. Only one I own is the first Starlord figure, which I've never opened. Arkham Knight will be my second.

I went down the ThreeA rabbithole many years ago and now have thousands of dollars in figures that have never left their shipping boxes. Some are impossible to sell because their shipping containers are too large and there's minimal local interest. One day I'll move 'em.

What I am seeing a lot is that people are trying to sell off their collections or large parts of it and have trouble doing so. You can probably make money but as much if you sold them off a few years back.

I see a lot of Iron Man figures on sale recently, like tons.

TBH I am kinda tempted by the remaining guardians, the Alien Warrior from Aliens and a handful of Star Wars characters (mainly Luke, Han, Chewie and Rey), but thankfully I'm not interested in the rest of the Marvel and DC characters released and/or coming out. Otherwise, yikes!

There's a really sweet "Ultimate" Alien Warrior coming soon from Neca if you want to spend a lot less.

Comes with a chestburster, egg, and facehugger.
You can get a queen to go with it for <$100.

Sort of Batman Beyond skin from Arkham Knight.

Wierd that they just reskinned the batman figure and not the upcoming Arkham Knight figure the skin in the game was based on.

That's what happens man. I have 12 more figures on Preorder but after that I'm just going to buy them at my own pace.

I've found lots of the recently released figures can be gotten for cheaper than "retail" I don't want to be on the hook for upcoming Hot Toys anymore.

What I'm doing right now is "trading" some of them for other Hot Toys figures, IE if I see a new one that I want more than one I currently own I sell the one I own and use that money to buy the more coveted one. And since they all tend to appreciate in value and I take good care of them, sometimes I have cash leftover that eventually goes towards buying them back (The Dark Knight Returns batman - bought it for $200, sold it for $500, bought another Hot toys figure for around $300 and have about $200 left to go towards buying the Batman again). Not the best system, but it's paying off kinda.

Where do you find HT figures cheaper than retail? I've seen it happen a few times on ebay. The Guardians 1 Groot can be nabbed easily for $90 last I checked. But overall, I rarely if ever see figures I'm interested in, even recently released ones, going for cheaper (factoring in shipping cost, etc) than the initial prices on Sideshow.com unless they're used and/or missing stuff.

Well to be honest the best way is just to wait. The majority of the figures can be found for cheaper online on sites like eBay if you wait 4 - 5 months. If it's something rare like Civil War - War Machine 3 then it'll be more expensive for a bit.

Or even buying the figure from somebody else. But unless you absolutely have to have the figure right out the gate, the only one for me left on my pre-orders is Hulkbuster which I should be getting in January. Asides from that I can wait for them now.

I like thefwoosh. It’s not a bad forum. There’s typically a good discussion thread for any popular toy line.

So this showed up at my doorstep yesterday :D

Man this is huge and menacing, just like Venom :D

I've finally got my TBS Jaina Solo. Next: Tarkin and then I think I have all the (announced) Star Wars figures I want for now. Wouldn't mind a 6'' Doctor Aphra as long as she doesn't look like a child and some other literature (Rae Sloane) or game related figures (like Iden Versio).
