Followed a guide on youtube and managed to kill 10 hunters. Two left.
There's something off about the masks. I think it's the shape or the eyes. It doesn't look as good as it should.

In one of the encounters you need to fight 4 at the same time. To my surprise i killed all four easily. But three of them revived. And the battle that ensued was epic.
I died so many times. And they got closer and closer to the safe house where i was respawning. Hunters are hyper aggressive and flank you like crazy.
I did it on world tier 1.

Could you link me to the guide you used? I am gonna knock this out today since I seem stagnant at 256 gear score (I know 265 is the limite now but nothing I ahve found makes my weapons go up at the recal station and I am tired of just grinding for two missing pieces of a brand set I need).

Grinding for gear sets, IMO, isn't worth it until world tier 5. I'm casually doing bounties, world events and collecting stuff while my friends catch up.

Thanks for the guide.

Are there any other secrets like this? I know about Ivory Keys already

Yeah I realized that I wasted a bunch of electronics yesterday. Do we know when WT5 is coming?

So, is WT5 ready to go and they just need to enable Tidal Basin? Hopefully they announce stuff about that today during the State of the Game. I'm anxious to start grinding gear, but it seems pointless to do so in WT4.

OK. So, it's Black Tusk bounties in particular that give the specialization points. I got 5 from a challenging one yesterday.

I think LMG is my favorite weapon this time around. Trying to figure out if demo (+LMG damage) is actually better than sharpshooter (+reload +recoil +headshot damage). I'm leaning sharpshooter.

I'm grinding a little for the fun of it, but yeah, not really worth it unless you're really into the occupied DZ.

Do you guys hunt for supply crates i found that is very hard to fight all enemies there but do you need that? Just to one of crate fast and loot it and if you get good stuff even if you die you will get that still so why bother fighting them there for long time... How you do it?

I felt the same. Doesn't look good imho. It's because the mask is too far away from the face, that is what makes it look weird.

10 masks down, about to knock out the last two

In the beginning of the game I only used ARs but I’ve gone full demo LMG and I love it.

Thanks for the tip on black husk bounties

Ya - supply drops were so much fun in D1. At first, they only dropped in the Dark Zone - approximately every 15 to 30 minutes. It was incredibly fun rushing around the map during a supply drop - as everyone would drop whatever they were doing and try for them, as they had top level gear.

They then added a weekly supply drop to the PVE open world for season pass subscribers. It was only one supply crate, but it was a fun activity in the open world that I always looked forward to doing.

I think they are missing an opportunity with how these have been implemented in the open world in D2. Right now, they seem to pop up now and then in various neighborhoods - but - the presentation for them is really underplayed. In the Dark Zone supply drops in D1, a huge "Supply Drops Incoming" message appeared on screen with a five minute timer that ticked down. I would love to see them do something similar every 15 to 30 minutes with these open world supply drops. Also - in the DZ version in D1, the supply drops were guarded by a very high level enemy and his/her squad. There were times when you could only get one crate because you had to spend some serious time taking down the enemy and their squad. I would like to see them keep going with this in the open world supply drops in D2.

As far as how I approach the open world drops in D2, I like that you can't simply run to each of the three boxes and easily get your loot. While I agree that it isn't worthwhile to wait and kill every enemy, you do have to be able to stay alive long enough on each crate do that the circle fills all the way. So - you have to take care of the enemies who focus fire on you when you go to the crate.

Just shoot first enemies and fast loot one box and maybe even two and then when they all on you its fine to die and go to near safe place to check your loot.
At lvl 18 i still on first 4 areas of map i didint even went yet to areas that are 12-17 lvl. Im just doing too much side missions before main missions and im leveling too much i guess. But i love it how all goes.

Look for a crate with a parachute on your map.

I’m one hundred positive that’s never happened in my game. I’ve never seen a supply drop.

I didn’t compete the final Dark Zone recon mission, so maybe that’s the issue.

Just knocked that out, so we’ll see if it shows up now

On the last two masks now. I killed the 11th guy but nothing dropped and the 12th guy never spawned. Gonna see if I can reset it next nightfall

Man I just did a bounty and called for backup. Three other people joined and we stayed for almost an hour and did events. That was awesome!
Friends can't play today and I am already gear level 300. I should advance but I would prefer to do it together with them... :messenger_confounded:

Sadly not coming this week, they want to focus on game health other bug fixes, source todays state of the game.

So apparently supply drops are completely bugged in my game world. I literally never had one drop, didn't even know they existed in D2 until today.

The 11th and 12th hunters are bugged for me too.

I am trying a fresh install now

Finally found some time to play this. Got to level 5 only, 1 main mission and couple of side missions.

It is fun. And it looks fantastic. Although performance could be a little more stable - it is between 50 and 80-90 FPS. I locked it at 72 (144hz monitor) but it doesnt make much sense, to often it is below 60 fps... I am not to sensitive luckily, but I guess some people may complain. (RX580, Ryzen 5 2600, 16 GB of 3200 mhz ddr by the way)

27hrs lvl20 enjoying it most. doing tons and tons just random side missions before any main mission. it could get boring as missions kinda repeast but i like try different weapons so even same areas with different weapon can give different exp. and thats what i like. and in those amazing museums and places i just looking around... all those dtails just amazing. not just running and shooting. Dont remember something like that in D1.

How is conflict? I need something to do when my friends aren't online and I can't progress the story/WTs. Solo DZ is probably not fun...

I'm in the same boat, but with ARs (love F2000 and Famas). Picked sharpshooter because increased stability feels like it has more of an impact than increased damage. I'll probably roll with a combo of AR and rifle (something semi auto with extended mag and 8x scope). Signature weapon is also great for quickly taking out enemy VIPs.

I just hit WT1 and I continue to be impressed by the game and the challenge it provides. So far I've been strictly solo but I'll probably start using matchmaking for some missions now that the stakes are higher.

Yeah. AR was my goto in Division 1, but I felt like they really started to lag as I moved up in world tiers. Even with extended mag, seem to come up short against elites.

Game seems pretty well balanced if you still want to solo, but the strongholds are so much faster if you matchmake.

Interesting point regarding tiers. On wt1 the ARs are still good and I can reliably kill 3 or 4 red health mooks with one mag (30 bullets) so I was hoping this trend would continue going forward. Fwiw right now I'm having an easier time clearing arenas with 800rpm weapons with higher stability rather than something like a 500rpm m60. Unfortunately I haven't seen the m249 in ages but I think that one could pull ahead.

I'm also playing with a kbm so hitting heads consistently with a stabilized AR is pretty trivial. LMGs and the gear I have atm have just enough crosshair sway to lower the percent of headshots i hit by 10% or so.

If you put all your early points into rifle damage and headshot damage you can annihilate things with a marksman rifle like umm, the Mk17. I switched over to that last night for primary and in secondary i swap in spas/m60/m700/pinprick as needed. Really like the Spas for close stuff but mine is getting a bit underlevel, need to find a better one now that I hit wt4.

Also noticed that the digital scope mod in the sharpshooter spec has zero sway. Kind of crazy.

I haven’t seen anyone talk about conflict. Rarely see people talking about DZ either. I haven’t even touched either yet. I need to start branching out

Man, my friends I play with seem to be already bored of the "grind". We are only at WT1 and they don't like that you basically have to "replay the game" in order to increase your world tier. I mean I understand where they are coming from since there seems to be nothing new opening up in higher world tiers, it's just the same stuff just more difficult if I am correct, but I play because it's fun... especially with friends. The one thing I agree with is the "loot fatigue". You get yellow stuff almost right from the start und from there it's just the same stuff with a higher number on it. Nothing special (so far) that makes the loot exciting. It seems to be kinda the opposite of Anthem in a way. There you have very little top tier loot drops and in Division 2 you have almost too much where a yellow drop is boils down to "check number on it, if it's higher --> equip it".
I read that you get two more gear rarities later though, red and another color. So there is more exciting stuff out there? Something that makes loot awesome and exciting again? I just hope I can keep my friends playing at least up to WT4...

About bounties, I think that info from Reddit I posted (Black Tusk) was wrong.

It seems like it is specialization points for any Hard (+3), Challenging (+5) and Heroic (+???).

I feel nothing matters until you reach the last tier. That's why i'm not bothering with gear grind anymore.

Fwiw, sets haven't been introduced. Plus getting a perfect brand sets and recalibrating is fun (for me at least).

Also, the heroic missions, new stronghold, raid and so forth, but I get that this type of game isn't for everyone.

Can you expand on this? Does it mean that you can still get spec points on WT4 or no?

FINALLY got hunter #12!!! Many props to this dude on Reddit:

You can from the bounties and also level-ups. But the fast source is the invaded missions and strongholds and that is a one-time thing for each.

So, your first spec is fast, and then, the rest are a bit grindy. But not sure what options WT5 will give us.

Edit: You can also get them from daily/weekly projects, but those aren't renewing correctly right now.

A follow up question to the previous "my friends don't want to play anymore": when I advance to higher world tiers, I am still able to play with them later, right? I read there are some scaling issues though?

Yeah. There are some balancing issues that are being corrected in the next patch, but yes.

It's pretty easy to power level too, at least up to the soft cap.

Have they mentioned anything about addressing the absolutely insane skill power requirements that skill mods have? Working on a shield build and I've passed up much better pieces of gear strictly so I can get skill power. Sitting at 5300 and it's still not remotely close when every mod requires 6500-8000. You literally have to gimp yourself so hard just to get skill power, and even then, they need to basically be max rolls to even come close to the requirements.

I don't really understand the reason behind the world tiers. Why wouldn't you just go to the next main mission to unlock the stronghold and advance the tier? I there a reason to play stuff in WT1-3?

So no tons clothes anymore as it was on d1 when every person in street would give you new cloth. Now i have maybe 5 pants same amount other cloth and 2 hats and 4 glasses. And thats it at 21 lvl. So they changed that thing with clothes then...
Is it any simply way to skip night time?? Like fast traveling or smt. I just dont like go shooting at night on higher levels as you cant see shit

I noticed this as well. Seems a little extreme for the SP requirement to use mods

Like Torment tiers in Diablo? It made a bit more sense in Division 1, but I agree, it's a bit weird w/ everyone racing toward WT4 day one.

I on the other hand love it. I can move around the city without getting aggro from 2 blocks away off a side street I'm not even heading down. Most of the enemy have some sort of light/flash/something on them so you can still see them even if it is really dark. You won't know for sure where their head is though until you have more experience.

Speaking of that aggro, It seems like every time I decide to take down a control point an enemy supply train decides to roll right up my ass. Those are some crazy fights. Those supply guys never give up and they come in a bunch of waves. Not too bad if you're doing just that, but when you're pincered between an enemy control point and that it is rough(and by rough I mean a lot of fun).
