1. I totally call bullshit on that story. Nobody in the real world talks like that. It's like this weird stereotype they have of how they imagine/wish their political opponents would talk. But no one actually does. (I mean, I'm sure a very small amount of people do, but those are the people who are just assholes, and everyone already hates those people.)
2. Assuming the story was true: I love the idea that he cost his family 30K a year and then then chalks it up as a good thing. Like, okay, now him and his girlfriend can't pay their mortgage and they have to downsize to a one-bedroom apartment and they have to sell his girlfriend's car and they can't afford to go on nice dates anymore. But, see, he totally HELPED her by standing up for women in this conversation she was never a part of!
And if it is true the asshole guy in the story will still go on being an asshole and not think much about it. The OP is out $30k.

That's a really good point. This is one of the things that baffles me the most: these people are ineffective at the things they claim to fight for. Severing a contract is just going to make the client double down. You know how you get somebody to stop acting a certain way? You talk to them like a human being and try to be a positive influence over them.

I saw someone mention ERA while reading the Final Fantasy 14 forums today.
The FF14 community has people whining about SE adding female Viera and male Ronso. They are upset at the "gender lock" for the bunny race and are calling the developers sexist. They are ignoring the fact that adding a new race to an MMO is a huge undertaking and we are getting two this upcoming expansion. Female Viera and male Ronso were the two most asked for.

It's absurd to me how they're upset that there is no evidence that a crime was committed, they would rather it be true that Trump colluded with Russia. In the other thread someone was even hoping for a recession to hit before the next election, so that they could blame it on Trump, justifying it by saying that Trump might cause worse things if he stays for a 2nd term.
