Any thoughts on this projector for gaming?

Has a DLP chip in it. Supports the standard HDTV resolutions. Its only 800x600 for PC, but its affordable at $999. Any red flags?

I've heard of some people seeing rainbow effects on DLP displays and projectors... if you've never had that problem then I can't think of why you'd not want DLP.

But for 1000, I'd reccomend this one:

plus there's no component input on the one you posted, so it'd just be extra hassle in having a component to vga adapter in the mix.

Runco is pretty expensive, do they make a projector (CRT or DLP) under $3000?

You definetly have to buy one used. My friend bought one that had 5000 hours of use, and it cost him <$2000. He wont even need to replace the bulbs until 10,000 hours of use. Think about 5000 hours, thats 3 hours a day for 5 years, that plenty. And it still looks beautiful, the picture, after all the hours.

And even i am moderately surprised
you might want to check out the Sanyo Z1
It really is awesome
and i'd imagine less than $999.

Wave good bye to your eyesite, and hello to life size pr0n!
