Forza Motorsport Coming in 2023 | New Details Revealed

People in this thread are twisting themselves into knots to find some negative for forza. Or claim gt7 is superior in some way. Its not working. You can convince yourselves all u want, but its not working.

The new forza looks great, has raytracing during gameplay and is coming this year in the 2nd half. No amount of forum spin is changing that.
Don't worry. You are not the only one seeing that. It's par for the course though.

If we're talking opaque. How about the Ford GT rear quarter panel which is completely see through.

Suprised no-one noticed that

To be fair, the Ford gt does have a gaping hole there in real life. The reflections in the screen cap, along with the car model, does look odd though.

Sorry, but if your "closed circuit" racing game have problems beating open world racer in terms of visual, you probably have problem on your hands in this category.
I have to admit the lighting in GT7 is rather dull and dark, it could be due to it being anchored to PS4 and or PD not having the talent to overhaul their engine properly. IE-HFW.

Forza Horizon 5 is also cross-gen game anchored to Xbox One, which is ultimately even less powerful than PS4.

Also there is a fact that between FH4 and FH5 time difference was 3 years, while GT Sports was released in 2017 and GT7 in 2022. So time and resources were clearly on PD side when it comes to advancing all aspects of game including visuals...

Interview from 2019

Esaki also commented on the fantasy tracks that tend to be fan favorites. These will be dubbed part of the “Forza Lore Series” going forward and will crossover with the Horizon series as well. He mentioned the classic Fujimi Kaido drift circuit in the Q&A noting “We hear you guys loud and clear; we’re working on a lot of stuff right now.”

Most people won’t give a shit about car model errors. These games always look good too.

Maybe T10 is exaggerating how rebuilt the game is, but they’ve surely been doing something for 6 years. Lots of players on Reddit, YouTube, and other places mostly seem disappointed with how little of the actual racing game T10 has shown off besides jerking off to reflections and dirt effects.

This is true, i expected them to show atleast 5-10 min straight out gameplay. But we only got 30 sec gameplay snippets and bunch of replay footage.

It’s probably under the hood type stuff, at least that’s my guess based of all the talk. The track temp and rubbering of the track, the dynamic weather and lighting, etc. but we will see.

Im actually sad that we probably never gonna see the old fanstasy tracks again. They where soo good and unique, like they added something different other than all the other tracks that we see in every racing game. Just like in GT7 the fanstasy tracks are fun to drive on with improved physics and graphics that you don't get on other racing sims.

These tracks and sidewinder need to come back. They took out some GREAT courses, over the years. I love the FM games but since FM5 I feel like the tracklist has been a bit shy.

Holy shit. On your picture it looks like a model.

Sorry, but this car is build like a cheap model.
Look how the spoilers does fit right. Funny.

Even this is a real car, it doesn't change anything.

To be fair a lot cars made in right up to the 90s had imperfect panel fits sometimes. Never heard about some of the poor fitting stuff that would come in italian supercars back in the day? how about the the ford RS200?..... a group B legend that would cost you six figures for one of the handful of factory made cars still in existence. look at any pic of a legit one and I promise you its not going to win any fit and finish contests. lambo countach was another offender... even AMG hammers....one of the rarest mercs, are susceptible to the odd off fitting bumper when you look up close. and thats a mercedes! it happened from time to time! Just saying.

At least it's GT7 now and not again Drive Club with rainy weather. That was so annoying. On any racing game in any forum, Reddit, Twitter, Youtube etc. people came up with rainy Drive Club pictures.
They were pretty but the cars in DC were not a visceral experience to drive. The real annoyance was that certain people compared it to the great racers JUST because of its visuals in spite of being a lackluster driving experience. but thats old news anyway.

What time is it?

Drive Club was the Wreckless: The Yakuza Missions of last generation.

German engineering! Homologation cars were typically slapped together, they didn't wana make them, they had to.

Also we were talking about headlights not car paint so this is all very confused!
Ah!..somebody who gets it! Was starting to wonder if there were any actual car nuts in here or just racing game enthusiasts who think they know the smaller details about these cars.

I was saying the same thing about early italian supercars and another homolgation special, the RS200 (Still one of my hero cars since the 80s, along with the 288 GTO, F40 testorssa, E30 M3, AMG hammer (the ultimate coupe! and deserves some love in one of these games at some point) and porsche 911 (gotta be a 935 flat nose, or a 962 turbo...or a 993 RS, turbo S or GT2)

I disagree

The GT7 shot has very high contrasted lighting in comparison to the Forza shot because the "sun" is obviously in a different position, so it's not the best comparison. The light source in the Forza pic looks like it's coming from the car's south west while in the GT7 screen shot, it is almost directly above. The Forza shot also has motion blur on the car reducing finer details, whereas the GT7 shot looks like it was ripped out of photo mode with the focus on the car.
