On average, DS sales have been steadily increasing since their low point in April. I wonder at what number of units/week they will finally level off at?

Probably February or so. Unless Pokemon is due in March or something.

GC sales went up by quite a bit, and Xbox sales have remainded constant.

Maybe NBA live for Xbox did well?

Interesting too since Mario Party 7 would probably be selling to previous owners anyway.

I think Nintendo needs to release the MP7 GC bundle there, especially since they pay a HELL of a lot more for a hell of a lot less.

I was checking the chart and I looked at the huge sales during xmas...

I wonder if it will sell units this year...

Yeah, I think the DS will finally level out around February. January is going to be a whole different story though with Resident Evil: Deadly Silence and the continuing sales of Mario and Luigi, Mushiking, Brain Training 2, Mario Kart, and Animal Crossing.

Oh yeah but Children of Mana is coming out in February too. :lol

Decided to add something quasi-new to the Game-Science version of the charts; hardware LTD from 2002 - 2005. Therefore, PS2, GBA and GC are incomplete LTDs; GBASP, Xbox, GBm, DS and PSP are complete LTDs and the same ones as GS has been posting for months:

platform this week last week 2005 total 02 – 05 LTD
1 Nintendo DS 48,342 48,520 2,081,147 3,576,734
2 PSP 31,078 29,395 1,544,326 2,026,582
3 PlayStation 2 19,277 22,030 1,610,833 11,016,007
4 Game Boy micro 9,151 9,349 337,190 337,190
5 GameBoy Advance SP 6,143 7,089 595,618 5,590,671
6 GameCube 4,368 3,290 176,609 3,059,749
7 Gameboy Advance 284 321 22,139 4,550,517
8 Xbox 119 167 10,990 471,425

That's actually pretty interesting. It puts a different light on things.

I think many people still fail to realize that Nintendo is the overall market leader still.

Wierd, but true.

I think it's a fairly recent turnaround though. GBA sales are still going in Japan, especially with the GB micro, and GC had a really good 2003. Clearly the DS set things apart for Nintendo and Sony.

I wonder though, which generation we're going to count the DS in once the 360 is out there.
