Really curious if people are going to start realizing HW numbers are not be the all end all, that they are a merely a device for selling software - which is what matters.

360 CRACKDOWN 540K

That's puts March at 113k (427k in February). Not what I was hoping it would do, but still solid.

Its perfectly in-line with my predictions. Every 360 game that starts off in the 400k area seems to drop to around 100k the next month. Saint's Row, Dead Rising, etc.

Never! Where are the HW numbers?

*Small disclosure - There's an extra week in 2007. 14 weeks vs 13, which assuming flat sales would account for a 7.7% difference as opposed to 54%.

God of War 2 is a beast. Diddy Kong Racing is surprisingly strong, probably a combo of nostalgia and kid appeal. For me, it was nostalgia, fond memories of that on N64.

Also means Tiger Woods Wii did over 113k. The power of Wii Sports at work.

Edit: You can also figure out that Zelda did ~85k, and Wario Ware did ~77k, which would put Sonic somewhere between 90k and 110k, which is great considering it only did 83k in February.

Wario64

works for Gamestop (lol)
God of War 2 #1. Who needs next gen

I'm surprised at Diddy Kong Racing's numbers. I didnt think that game would sell that much

And one company is dropping the ball big-time in both of those matters. :lol

TP Wii (January, February, March NPD) = 404,000
TP GCN (January NPD) = 144,000
548,000 YTD.

Puts it right ahead of Crackdown at the #4 spot...

I bought it. Hadn't played it, as it came out during my semi-dormant gaming era.

Sony am doomed INDEED.

PS: Not really loving God War, really. It's kinda too much the formulaic beat-em-up (ala DMC) that I never really cared for.

Interesting to note that Diddy Kong Racing DS is less than 200k from becoming the best selling post-Microsoft buyout Rare game.

Pretty sure those DKC ports sold a ****ton.

John Harker

Definitely doesn't make things up as he goes along.
Looks like SSX Blur and Godfather Wii did not do so well.

And what happend to Yoshi DS? buh-bye?

I want Lost Planet to do better :(

How come DKR:DS is selling so well? Impressed Iam
It's a good game in a popular genre on a hot console plus nostalgia. I'd say that formula pretty much sums it up.

I think people are Oblivioned out.
It sold over three million copies well before the PS3 version shipped. I think most of the people that wanted the game found a way to play it before the PS3 version shipped.

What is the highest YTD PS3 games ? What is the sales # ? Same question with PSP software, since PS3 and PSP are missing from the Top 10 YTD games list.
