PlayStation Store: February 2023’s top downloads

That's not that great for Sony. TLOU is to be expected to be that high due to the show but the rest is not doing too well. GT7 is getting a boost with PSVR2 but it'll die down soon.

Hogwarts, Fifa, CoD, GTA V killing it.
What exactly isn't great for Sony? What else do you want? Ragnarok has already sold like 13+ million units. Horizon is on PS+ now so people don't need to buy it.

What? GT games are never heavy hitters that sell 20M on year one. They have always been on the charts since release, even on overall European charts for a year. You see it showing up in plenty ww charts as well, including Japan from time to time.

Ragnarok is still there even after selling millions of copies...and single player games always peak on month 1. The game will keep showing up if promos happen.

Well, end of an era. It's still sad to see it not reach a full 7-year lifecycle like most home consoles, but as Sony dropped support for the platform after Iron Man and the VR update to Dreams, both of which released in July 2020, it was expected.

Its time to move on. Theres no point in using a PSVR1 now since PSVR2 is availible. Better tech, less motion sickness, better comfort, etc.

10M copies is a success.
Neil said it was an extremely successful title.
Sales have been solid over the past 12 months.

The only thing you're going to do is accuse him of lying, but because it doesn't go with your narrative. lol
Neil is also a big fan of Anita Sarkeesian. 10M relative to other first party game sales is not “extremely successful”. Especially when you consider how big the first game was/became.

Yeah, but it's strange that they didn't release ANY VR games in 2021 and 2022. Let's hope the same doesn't happen in that period after the PS6 and before PSVR3 comes out.

He's not. lol. And what does this have to do with anything?

You don't even follow video game sales or how successful the other games were. I'm sure Sony is happy with 10 million in sales when the first game was bundled and barely made anything out of those 13 million TLOUR sales.

Not a flop - but underperformed heavily. Not sure a few tens of thousands of sales helped by an adaptation of the first game changes that.
The way you just fell for the bait like that. Source on your claims?
Also TLOU2 is doing these numbers on the back of a single release on ps4 and the first season. Imagine once the second game is adapted to tv for like 2 seasons and plus the ps5 release and pc release and factions.

This game won’t go anywhere for years.

I am curious about something. If somebody buys a PS4 game on a PS5 does that still count as a PS4 sale?
Yes. It's still a PS4 SKU, even though it's bought on PS5. The PS5 being BC with the PS4 just allows you to play that PS4 version of the game.

The first tlou game wasn’t at 10M copies after a year and half. As far as we know the 2nd game is selling faster than the first launch aligned.

Why should tlou2 sell more in less than 3 years than a game that came out a decade ago and had 3 different skus released including a remaster and a remake? Make it make sense. There was also a lot of people that bought the original on ps3 that bought the remaster on ps4 and now the remake on ps5. Now it’ll be released on pc as well.

Meanwhile the 2nd game was released in a single platform less than 3 years ago as opposed to the first game that was released in 4 platforms for the past 10 years and had a tv adaptation.

Amazing how we still have ignorant people like you spouting this crap. The game was over 10 million at the start of last year and it continues to be in the top 20 on PS4 almost every. single. month. Stay salty
