Twitch Plays Pokemon: Dig, Dig for Victory!

Don't worry, anarchy returns nearly instantly. It was why the first try through the maze failed at the last second. People wanted anarchy the second there was a battle but then stepped back into the maze as soon as it was done. Navigation puzzles, expect to see democracy. I will be curious to see how things like the PC work out with the new system. I wonder how the whole Eevee divide would have panned out with the new system.

The compelling reason is to get back to anarchy mode and progress. That maze stopped progress dead.

I was being sarcastic , I find it silly people think this goes against anything when I'm sure the spirit and intent originally wasn't to have nearly 100k people trying to play at once or getting stuck for a while day somewhere .

Honestly I'd prefer a middle ground. Have a vote each second or half second. Get rid of the number at the end (if they haven't already).

I just don't get the 'fun'' of seeing these guys stuck in ledges and mazes for hours.

"But, but, anarchy?!" They cry.

Is that fun to watch? I don't get it.

It's not necessarily fun to watch, no, but you're also not supposed to watch the stream 24 hours straight like some people seemingly are. You pop in, see how it's going, and then pop out. It sorta should be an endurance test. If you can't stick along, you're going to miss some good stuff, and that means you don't deserve to be a part of those neat things like getting past the ledge or watching the Surge battle.

Interesting? How thousands of people using inputs either randomly, for fun, to troll or to reach a goal interesting for 1 one day and not getting anywhere? If I wanted that I would have watched the RNG stream....

How is it better to watch people slowly play a game knowing full well what is going to happen? I don't even understand how people feel like something's been accomplished under this method. Oh, hooray, you mean people somehow managed to figure out how to play a 20 year old game they've played already? What a surprise.

70% of commands still seem to be anarchy/democracy.

This thing is getting so deep. Allowing people to vote wastes so much time and energy.

Go watch a let's play if you wanted smooth, coordinated play?

I'm questioning the ''fun'' in watching it that's all.

It is a stream. It is not?

Personally, I'm just looking at the Google Doc twice a day. I do agree it would be fun without the lag. But the lag kills the participation aspect.

And I don't even understand what people feel when something was just accomplished by pure luck/RNG....

Watching anarchy is fun and hypnotic in all the wrong ways. Anarchy also makes any progress remarkable.

Democracy is just plain boring.

Pure luck?

The RNG streams are that-a-way, breh.

I'm not enjoying this "democracy for walking, anarchy for battles" that chat seems to be going with.

This is the one thing I truly feared... democracy is tedious but quicker even if it's a huge pain to watch... so many will prefer to use that... but democracy kills the fun of the run.

Exactly.

Anarchy got us 4 FREAKING GYM BADGES! 4!!!!!!!!!!!

It was a sight to behold. Of course, that maze would be nearly impossible without democracy. We needed Democracy there.

Now the chat is a bit fucked up because we have to vote, so pretty much a good chunk of people are just voting anarchy/democracy.
