I don't think "conspiracy theories" get you banned here as long as it isn't bigoted, whereas smearing the whole forum with accusations tends to not be viewed as favorably.

The racism and white supremacy were there from the start, but since the group was initially purged for its anti-Republican attitudes, the racist aims of the movement was not addressed. It lasted all of a few years from the late 1860s to the early 1870s.

But decades later, it resurfaces 100x more powerful than before.

I got banned for correcting the position a user had, but in doing so I apparently made it clear I hate Muslims or something absurd.

I'm not saying Gaf is intolerable and a piece of shit site, no far from it. What I am saying is that this mentality of attack attack attack to SJW's and "Ree" feel like a stance we shouldn't need here. We can easily discuss elements of a site that is cultivating warrior mentality to fight some internet fight or bleed into the real world without vitriolic use of language and slanting discussions to be so heavily fuelled by what can only be described as hatred for them.

I think we have a chance to look on from the outside and discuss the topic properly, something which is being done in here mind you, but with those peppered comments from some on the attack it feels less so.

It’s kind of insane that I’m an outlier here. I’ve been on GAF for 10 years. Was banned only once before GAF fell apart (and that was on argument about Russia’s invasion of Ukraine). And now I pretty much get banned every time I post here because I’m an “outlier”.

Don’t get me wrong. I got permaban on ERA forever ago. I feel strongly about freedom of speech so that place isn’t for me.

But GAF is whole different kind of animal. My whole argument is that race doesn’t really matter. And somehow that’s controversial here. Because it’s white people who have it hard?! (For the record I’m white, moved from Ukraine to the US. And it’s awesome to be white here! Never an issue with cops or loans or education) How can I believe this White Genocide narrative?

I have come to discover Resetera users actually hate this. Because it messes with their image of being this "super progressive and welcoming game forum" when images begin floating online that they secretly talk down and discriminate against White males or Japanese people.
