Unfortunately we had to delay the compilation to the 20th. But thanks so much for the kind words Jaroof. Here's to hoping the wait will be worth it!

So wait.. did he send it to you guys first, kid ness?

i wonder if he'll perform anything off it in february!

Most likely. He performed some new songs at the concert I went to last year.
He didn't say their names or anything, but I'm pretty sure they were songs from this new album.

Dude fucked her over so hard she cancelled her move to the states and quit making this type of music.

I've been a bit over Sinitus because of that, honestly.

EDIT: OG GOD THE EMANCIPATOR LINK HAS BEEN BROKEN. THE VID HAS BEEN REMOVED. SOMEBODY HELP.

the thread that keeps. on. giving.

Wait. What's all this about Sinitus Tempo? I've known him since he was just a "local" artist from around here. I saw that him and Kitty beefed on FB but I dont know anything about it. Fill me in?

And uh.. I just got a notification from PayPal that I got $10 back from Loci Records because they didn't complete the registration process.. what the hell??

Dope. Thanks!

I agree with Hires; it feels a bit safe for Emancipator--very Safe in Steep Cliffs(no pun intended) Which is to say that it's still very good, but I'm hoping to hear more material like Elephant on the full thing.

I don't know which music thread I should ask this question in, but is there a 2013 music thread for anticipated music or whatever 2013 music?

Damn I haven't been keeping up with this thread nearly as much as I should. Can anyone recommend me the best shit from the past 6 months or so? Free is better but doesn't have to be.

Red Walrus and Dj Dyllemma are Bob Ross - Happy Little Trees (Pay What You Want)

Red Walrus(Surf School) and Dj Dyllemma(Reservoir Sound) have joined forces to create a sci-fi themed beat tape. The duo collaborated to create a back drop of boom-bap, space age beats while splicing and scratching in different vocal samples. This project will tell the listener a series of random stories over hard hitting drum tracks and eerie melodies. Definitely a must listen for any east coast hip hop fans, dope MC's or fans of instrumental beat tapes. Enjoy!

Can anyone tell me how I can get my hands on some jazz-hop drums for beat making? I just started making beats with garageband and although I think I've learned a lot in the past week, I'm still oblivious on how to get decent drum sounds (the stock stuff is pretty bad). I know you can pay for kits, but I read that it's not worth it. Do artists like Fat Jon, MF Doom and Nujabes just listen to records and chop out the snares, hi-hats etc... themselves?

edit: Earlier in this thread I asked if there were sites other than ebay & amazon to purchase nujabes cds, and I found that HMV japan has better deals. I could get Spiritual State, Metaphorical Music and Modal Soul for 80$ with free delivery... I just might bite! :p
