Millions of dollars spent on marketing Anthem and it's just this big turd that no one buys anyways... Granted, I don't think any amount of marketing wizardry could have saved Anthem =\
Battlefield 5 messaging and marketing was a mess from the get go... and a pretty decent game wound up virtually DOA. Maybe there is some culpability there... Then Apex drops with barely a nickel spent on marketing (other than paying influencers to play it) and its a massive overnight success, raking in a 100M before anyone can blink an eye, drives up share value etc.
I am sad to hear so many folks lost their jobs. Real people, real families, real bills. If Anthem was a hit, maybe this doesn't happen. It's sad =(
