It's alright. I guess it would be more fun if all your family has DSs and you sit around at Christmas playing it or something, but it's not the type of thing my gamer friends play, thanks to other multiplayer games being more entertaining, generally.

It's a pretty good way to learn lots of obscure Japanese card games too

Is eyeshield 21, considered a flop or a hit???

Well, the PS2 Eyeshield 21 game (published by Konami) only sold 12,000 in its first week, and that was during Christmas week.

12,418 Eyeshield 21: AmeFoot Yarouze! Ya! Ha! (Konami) (12/22/05) - through Dec 25/05

So, the DS version (36,811) tripled the PS2 first week sales, and it did that during a much slower sales period as well - so I would say that the DS sales for Eyeshield 21 are pretty impressive.

I really don't know anything about this game though, and I'm not sure if this and the PS2 version are completely different styles of games or not. They are both listed as action games though, and they were both published by top-tier publishers.

Maybe someone else knows more about the merits of each of these two titles, but it seems like strong sales for the DS version, at least based upon the PS2 sales for this property.
