Fists swinging and the sound of bullets ringing aplenty in the first footage from Operation Fortune: Ruse De Guerre, the Guy Ritchie-directed action-comedy that STX is releasing in 2022.

The story follows super spy Orson Fortune (Jason Statham) who must track down and stop the sale of a deadly new weapons technology wielded by billionaire arms broker Greg Simmonds (Hugh Grant). Reluctantly teamed with some of the world’s best operatives (Aubrey Plaza, Cary Elwes, Bugzy Malone), Fortune and his crew recruit Hollywood’s biggest movie star Danny Francesco (Josh Hartnett) to help them on their globe-trotting undercover mission to save the world.

Ritchie wrote the screenplay with Ivan Atkinson and Marn Davies and also produces alongside Ivan Atkinson and Bill Block

Orson Fortune...Ensemble cast... Hugh Grant... Colourful poster... Is this a kid's flick? Ever since his accent in Transporter I can't take Statham seriously, Snatch was great, I will not be watching this film.

Wholly shit this looks fucking fantastical! Been a fan since Lock Stock and as always with all his films hoping the story is as good as and as well done as Snatch, but still waiting. Can’t wait, this might be as good!

Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre, originally dated for Jan. 21, 2022 is moving to March 18, 2022. The movie moves away from Universal’s Redeeming Love, and heads to a new frame where it’s up against Lionsgate’s The Unbreakable Boy and Focus Features’ Downton Abbey: A New Era.
