Alright, I read all 30+ pages of this topic. I felt things that ranged from mild amusement to immediate shock for following those twitter links while reading the OP. Peanut gallery has been pretty good, but I have to say I think some vocal people in this thread are either trolling or see this for something far bigger than it is to be claiming this is the end of Era. I just don't see the smoking gun here. If that's because OP is holding back info or because it doesn't exist, or because I'm simply stupid I don't know. The hypocrisy out of Cerium and ERA moderators is amazing to behold, especially in light of the active campaign against THQ that has been ongoing there in reeeeecent months, but I just see them buckling down to protect their in-group. I don't see this circling of the wagons as having anything to do with defending pedo's though.

Occam's razor makes me think they're aware this makes them look pretty bad and they're just clamping down on the discussion and hoping it goes away as a knee-jerk reaction. Much like they do with just about every single idea they're confronted with that reveals how ridiculous their ideology is. I'd love to be wrong, I always enjoy some delicious schadenfreude, but I think a lot of us are over eager in proclaiming the death of the post-modern community that actively sought the destruction of our favorite video game community 2 years ago.

Most of the time we actually disagreed with the moderation, and a lot of us (including myself) got banned multiple times. I even considered going back to GAF at one point. The reason our server was private is because we didn’t want any console warring in it

Some discussions went off-topic, notably when it concerned moderation (as we often disagreed on it) and one of those is screencapped in OP, where a thread about GTAV and rape was made which caused many bans of Era members. From that point, we discussed legal perspectives and legal dispositions regulating those matters. That’s all there was to it. We discussed the difference between the age where you become a legal adult and the age of consent, which I mixed in the course of the discussion because, as I said, I’m not a native English speaker and definitely not well-versed in that field.

As for the threats OP claimed she got, I’m deeply sorry about the aggressive tone I may have conveyed. I just went out of school when someone linked me the thread and I was immediately filled with anger that someone I once considered a friend (and of which I thought it was reciprocal) accuse me of the sort. I sent a discord DM (the one OP screencapped) asking what the hell was going on and why would she do that. It ended abruptly as I was angered and saddened at the situation. I want to precise I didn’t threaten anyone of legal actions. My last sentence was very much made because of worries that OP, knowing her difficult situation, could be put in danger if someone took all of it very seriously and decided to sue her for defamation. I apologize to OP if I came across as threatening, but that wasn’t my intent.

For the LuigiBlood post, I believe he already explained his situation (which was tied to me merely because I was talking about the Metal Gear Solid 1 French dub).

This guy gets it, concise and to the point. When Era go out of the way to censor discussion of this topic they create a vacume that the people outside of thier reach and influence can thrive in. Resetera admins are protecting people with peodophillic leanings becucse they care more about thier brand than children.

Thier members are eating up the "she's just a bitter troll" becuse it gives them a safe space to dismiss her even though there are fucking screencaps of everything.

Why didn't they just ban the people responsible for the unsavory and creepy chat discussion? Why stick your neck out by vouching for randos in a Discord? The people talking about this gross shit weren't staff members......It's not even like they were incredibly valuable or noteworthy forum contributors.

I'd like to write a little message to our left-wing friends over on ResetERA if they keep trying to drag politics in when defending pedophiles:
You're not in the majority. People with sanity do not want pedophilia normalized.

Imagine, if you will, you have kids of less than teenage years (say between the ages of 6 to 11). Would you rather have the kid be subject to disgusting, wicked things that will require years, possibly decades, of therapy and medication that may or may not work, or would you not want to take that chance and have your kid turn out relatively normal? Because I'd think you'd want the kid to turn out normal, considering studies have proven, time and time again, that this kind of thing fucks with the development of the kid BADLY.

As sourced by the study I link at the end, studies in India on the effects of child sex abuse linked effects on the child in mental, physical, behavioral and interpersonal areas. This included rather disgusting things such as bleeding in the genital areas, UTI, and even sexually transmitted disease risk within the child. Why you would want to do this when the child you're looking at in the images you have probably is suffering from this right now? It doesn't even matter if it's drawn porn, as it still enables the idea of child porn somehow being OK, even though it scars the children in that porn for life.

People on all sides of the aisle find pedophilia absolutely disgusting. German and British studies, as listed below, also confirm that upon the polling of UK-based officials, no person polled had any positive descriptions of pedophiles, which I think is pretty damning and universal that pedophiles are not accepted, whether they say they "don't offend" or not.

You are in the wrong, pedophilia is a wicked act that I feel sorry for anyone who participates in this horrible atrocity. It's something that sets them up for an awful life and I wouldn't wish that upon anyone.

As for my recent era name change, it was in hope that people would just forget about me. I didn’t want to come post here because I don’t like the attention. I’m no one important, just a rando like anyone here. I’m not affiliated with era or anyone else. I was just spending time on a discord server talking about games sales and anything that was discussing in general chat. I never expected that anyone could have interpreted my posts like that. I’m not a pedophile, nor was I ever interested in underage people. I’m still at university. My part of this situation is a big misinterpretation and I really want to prove it.

I’ve already cut ties with the server, and the people this thread rightfully pointed out as potentially very suspicious once their twitter account was digged out. I’m not affiliated at all with those people. I only talked with them in the context of game sales and what topics came in the general chat. I don’t know most of the people outside of that, and definitely not those affiliated with pedophile content. I’d also like to point out that nowhere did the server endorsed even remotely such content. Two of the people (the two most of this thread is about) got banned/kicked from the server and that nobody ever posted endorsement of pedophiles nor imagery of underaged people in the server and that the moderation would have taken action upon that without a doubt.

I’m no different than any of you, I’m just a random internet user fanboying over some games and ranting about others. I really want to clear out my name. I understand why you people would pursue people suspected of diving into pedophilia and other illegal fields, but I’m really not one of those people. I hope this was enough of a statement to at least testify of my honesty.

This server, which I was part of, was made to discuss video game sales numbers. It’s what fuelled the conversation most of the time. It’s not affiliated to era but usermade. It was not a server made for prominent members to make discussion with the staff. It’s all there is to it. The reason why you may recognize some popular names is because they’re all sales-related. It was a big place to discuss video game sales (be it Famitsu numbers, NPD, Media Create, PAL charts…). We never had any input in any kind of moderation issue. Most of the time we actually disagreed with the moderation, and a lot of us (including myself) got banned multiple times. I even considered going back to GAF at one point. The reason our server was private is because we didn’t want any console warring in it

Some discussions went off-topic, notably when it concerned moderation (as we often disagreed on it) and one of those is screencapped in OP, where a thread about GTAV and rape was made which caused many bans of Era members. From that point, we discussed legal perspectives and legal dispositions regulating those matters. That’s all there was to it. We discussed the difference between the age where you become a legal adult and the age of consent, which I mixed in the course of the discussion because, as I said, I’m not a native English speaker and definitely not well-versed in that field.

As for the threats OP claimed she got, I’m deeply sorry about the aggressive tone I may have conveyed. I just went out of school when someone linked me the thread and I was immediately filled with anger that someone I once considered a friend (and of which I thought it was reciprocal) accuse me of the sort. I sent a discord DM (the one OP screencapped) asking what the hell was going on and why would she do that. It ended abruptly as I was angered and saddened at the situation. I want to precise I didn’t threaten anyone of legal actions. My last sentence was very much made because of worries that OP, knowing her difficult situation, could be put in danger if someone took all of it very seriously and decided to sue her for defamation. I apologize to OP if I came across as threatening, but that wasn’t my intent.

For the LuigiBlood post, I believe he already explained his situation (which was tied to me merely because I was talking about the Metal Gear Solid 1 French dub).

The site doesn’t even need to crash. It shouldn't even. Let it remain as a reminder to not give loonies power.

What I am curious about is how many insiders or people from the industry will continue to post there in light of this story. And once they stop it doesn’t even matter if they have 10k active users. No one will give a shit any more.

I'm not going to link or post anything until we have concrete proof, but supposedly, someone who was a member on Reee might have just confessed to a member of staff asking this person for "sexual" pictures, as they put it. However, we are trying to ascertain the authenticity of this claim before we start posting it publically. We are discussing it in the discord server.

Let me tell you that theyre fully aware about their own actions

I already tell my story here in the early pages on how i was aprehended by a big paedophile dude in the bathroom when i was coming home late from high school

What i didnt mentioned back then is how did i manage to force myself out of there

Heres what actually happened there

Were brawled, but he managed to pin me to the wall

The next part is he smash my back so hard it dislocated my shoulder

i was screaming in agony...but it seems to make him more excited..

next part he hit me in the rib repeatedly

when i asked him to stop, he grabbed my head and smash it to the wall

Next part he...he..bite my ears..not a vicious bite....but a rather gentle one...several times...which is weird but still scary af..

he said that i need to let it go..that the more i resist...the more painfull it become...he told me hes going to desecrate my body and that theres nothing i can do to stop it...

His left arm still holding my left arms..and next his right arm gropped.... my private areas..

Thats when he got really distracted and i manage headbutt him, turns my back from the wall and kick his *****

When i was running outside and left him i was lucky a janitor are still around to help me

If you ever visit some youtube vid on how some good citizen tried to lure a pedo you can see how vile and sickening these people are



You still have the audacity to tell us that its wrong to put these dangerous people on jail
