World of Warcraft |OT9| People still play this? Isn't it from 2004

Consumable prices are killing my desire to continue raiding heroic, I don't have the time in to go out and pick herbs in addition to all the other stuff I'm already doing outside of raids.

Thanks for the ridiculous mat requirements, Blizzard.

Anyone managed to sell neck enchants for exuberant prices? I saw they were going for 40k on my server and got all excited but I havent managed to sell the one I made for 38k :/

Was hoping this would quickly finance my yak since I can actually make 3 or 4 by now with all the chaos crystals I have across my characters.

They're worth like 14-20k tops.

It's probably just bad luck, but every bit of gear I've got from World Quests in the past week have all been given to me at their base level. Not a single proc. not even +5 levels.

(Surely this means I am due some super luck soon, maybe a Legendary!)

Another brewfest is over, another year without the kodo. Got the ram 3 times though (which I had for years) so I guess that's something!

Not with GAF vampires here siphoning your luck.

Yeah it's definitely a big mistep on blizzard's behalf.

But I feel that in general, everything proffession related is just so expensive, that unless you're someone really good at earning gold, or have a huge bank from twiddling your thumbs in you WoD garrison for 1½ years. Then you basically have no purchasing power. I had a respectable 120k gold at the start of the expansion. The entirety of that would pretty much have managed to get me only 2 pieces of craftable gear and get it to 850. Which, when you consider that mythics drop 840 baseline gear, is just completely mental. You also have the obscene price difference for enchants. 150 stats enchant go for around 1k. The 200 stats enchants were easily 10k+ last i checked.

It's just a messed up economy for the vast majority of people.

Alright smart people. Since the game has now decided my drops are exclusively trinkets, I need help deciding between these two. I know mastery is valued more highly than crit by a slight margin as arcane, but the proc on the devilsaur shock baton seems to trigger way more often. Thoughts?

Attempting Nythendra mythic tonight... wish us luck! Are the Vantus Runes working in Mythic? EN Heroic is pretty much on farm status now.

You'll be fine.

There's three tank rots before each HotS. Just make sure the that one tank clears their stacks between the third rot and the HotS ability, and you should avoid all the nasty overlaps.

We ran some mythic+ last night and Teeming is...weird. Neltharion's Lair was IMO the easiest mythic+ with last week's affixes, but Teeming makes it VERY hard. There is one pull with 4 of those 'pelter' mobs that have no aggro and just throw rocks at whoever the fuck they want. At Mythic+6, any pack with two or more of those was lethal and could potentially instagib someone. We were very far ahead when we got to that four pack and it knocked us down to a single chest because nobody could even stay alive against it. Gonna have to save bloodlust for it next time.

Meanwhile, Maw of Souls is barely different with Teeming. I think there's maybe two packs with one extra mob. Really feeling the timer nerf though.

The flight plan I just filed with the agency list me, my men, Dr. Pavel here. But only one of you!
Nice to see that account wide arcway/CoS unlock. Seemed inevitable and I'm glad they aren't dragging their feet with it.

And yeah, consumable prices are fucked. I straight up refuse to spend thousands of gold a night to raid, and my DPS suffers noticeably for it. I made it clear to my guild buddies before Legion came out that I want raiding to be pretty casual (easy normal clears, maybe work on heroics) and that kind of investment is the opposite of what I'm interested in. If it actually becomes an issue (IE, I need to flask/pot in order for us to kill a boss) I have no problem sitting for the encounter.

Had a really great run last night in EN. Didn't get any loot aside from some tanking OS wrists and burned all my coins, but we went 6/7 with very few hiccups. Tonight we smash face on Xavius.

I feel like I've played A LOT since the expansion launch and I'm only 850 on my main. Three other characters are level 102-103. I guess I don't use my time as efficiently as some of you all, or just have bad luck with drops lol.

Also, have barely had a chance to go into Mythic dungeons. Only done 3 regs and one +2. We've cleared Normal EN twice and killed HC Nyth a couple times too.

Hearing others have multiple characters above 850 blows my mind.

Love the rep/WQ changes in 7.1. Now we just need an Artifact Knowledge change in 7.1 or later and we're good.

So I found a random 90 boost on one of my alt accounts and created a warrior as I haven't played that class since BC. I've transferred him over to my main account but I'm intrigued by the class and how they play now.

I know you can't just draw a line in the sand and say X class is best but what are the comparisons between druid and warrior? In super tempted to level this guy because a) the class sounds interesting b) I love the look of plate and c) there's only one other plate wearer in our guild raid and I'd like loot.

If you have enough friends that can farm +2s, you effectively have no cap in how much gear you can get a week.

Rest of us? gated as fuck. Not to mention Blizzard's decision to leave class balance till the last moment (we're still waiting) means some specs are second class citizens.

That's pretty much where I am at as well, I enjoy raiding but I do not want to become that invested in the game again. Plus if I'm honest I don't really see 1300 int making much of a difference in my total healing output at all, at least not on the level that we're doing content.

vast majority of my gear is from mythic+. I have an almost completely solid group that only gets switched out to help others in the guild. But as a tank who knows the fastest routes I'm almost always needed.

Like any other time period in this game I wouldn't be playing this much if I didn't like who I was playing with. We could probably get a lot more gear and AP if we actively sought out lower level keystones but we have more fun pushing the higher tiers of keystone.

Finally unlocked the Arcway and Court of Stars on my main. Glad I won't have to do that again on alts. Suramar is a pretty neat zone though. It feels like a real city, but the area with all the elites can burn in hell. Doing the quest to talk to the 3 people there was horrible. Been stuck around 845 ilevel for a while. Haven't done any raiding besides LFR and world bosses. Need to get a solid group for mythic farming.

Anyone on Mythic Ursoc?

I play a Protection Warrior and goddamn if that boss isn't stressful. There hasn't been such a stringent Tank / DPS / Healer check in a long time.

is there a significant difference from heroic mechanically? Does the 'taunt on every debuff' still work? I feel like after the first kill I got a good feel for it, and it's much less stressful now. But my guild hasn't set foot in mythic yet. I likely won't be tanking it then unless our usual tanks are MIA again, but it could happen.

Except it's not blizzards economy, it's ours, it's as free a market as you're likely to see. And quite frankly, what's happening is a bunch of mid tier players who thought they were "serious" about the game because they used flasks and potions are getting priced out of the market by the tier that is actually serious, and that's fine. There are cheaper options, and the content can, in fact, be done without them for the time being. All the gold transfers are going from player to player, so it's not like blizzard is somehow benefiting. The "vast majority" right now as you put it should be sellers, not buyers.

Now I agree the professions are terrible and the gearing is wonky. But those problems have nothing to do with the economy.

NA Horde players, I need your help!

My guild is running EN tonight starting at 7:00pm US Central, and despite numerous attempts at recruiting, we're still short on DPS (ranged specifically) of all the things.

We'll need probably 2 extra ranged DPS to get our composition right. We're on Emerald Dream and we'll be PUG'ing the extra DPS. If anyone on Horde NA is looking to run some of EN normal tonight (or even join our guild!) let me know!

It's been annoying having inconsistent/unreliable DPS and having to re-educate people that join us each time we run it, so having a couple good people who are chill, patient, and can put up some numbers would be really helpful!

All I know is I started this expansion with 23k gold and I'm close to 500k now thanks to herbalism/alchemy.

I appreciate your patronage.

The economy in this game is straight up bonkers. I got to 110 on monday and sold enough Foxflower and other various herbs after reset to pay for 2, almost 3 months of tokens. Didn't even take me long to gather it either. I thought I was bugged/blessed since that fox popped so many times giving between 20-25 an appearance.

Teach me your ways.

I only have Alch, but am herbing with all my 100-105 alts.

I'm buying mats for Flasks and selling them for a small profit, but man, this week, I can't even move the flasks anymore. So many undercutters...

Herbs are more valuable than flasks because alchemists are proc'ing multiples and/or crafting them to get the rank 3 recipe.

One of our alchemists got a x12 flask proc multiple times.

It's also a pain in the ass to farm herbs with every mob scaling up. You're paying for the herbalist time, something they need to be compensated for. Just because people want to pay dirt cheap prices for flasks and pots. Raiding is expensive, always had been. The issue is supply and demand, the excessive gold made in wod and people having to pay for time. If you don't like the prices you can level up herbalism, you only need 1 skill in it to herb in legion so get to it.

The best NPC in the entire expansion. Easily.

I really really like dread rider Cullen, she was funny, glad they didn't kill get off but wish she would do more.

Nelths with teeming was so fucking annoying with the pelters. You need to go in there with cc just for that one pack.

As far as I know (Millenia can probably correct me on this if I'm wrong), the fight is very similar for the two Ursoc tanks IF you run with the three tank strategy (which pretty much every guild does). I believe the two tanks do the heroic tactics pretty much, and the third tank tanks the bears that appear from the miasma pools left behind after each roar.

Will be headed to him myself this week. Should be good. Should've been last week but we had too many AWOLs for spider-bird.

Once I had ~100k, I bought out any flask selling over 250g under mine, and rebuilt the market at a higher price point. 2200g agility flasks are entirely my doing because I was buying out all the 1600g units and relisting 600g higher.

That and selling herbs is where it's at. Toss on Radiohead and run around farming for 4 or 5 hours one night in your downtime. A few 200 stacks and you'll be well on your way to 100k.

Yup. Noticing on the mobile app that they're dropping steadily here as well. Think the volume is starting to increase due to so many people finally getting alts to 110 to farm Starlight Roses.

yeah, we got kind of stuck there this week. we have some low geared people who didn't really push mythic+ at all, and they really struggle to stay alive.

Good job. Fun fight, right? Better than Kargath, at least...

Can't say I ever struggled with shit under my UI, but I'm not a healer at the moment so there's no need for big healing frames... Or frames at all.
