Well,i remember first the game is pitched to Dingo(Creator of Miku rhythm game) and after tons of problem, the game end up being develop by Atlus own team which i believe will increase the cost here.

The easiest comparison will also probably be, the graphics and engine? Thearhythm is develop by a small company(Indies Zero?) here and it still uses the same engine as two older Thearhythm engine which i believe should be much cheaper to develop here.

Well I believe SEGA just took the project over and slamed Persona theme to Miku engine. The main producer himself tweeted that miku fans should play P4D while waiting for further news. I wonder how much SE have to pay to Sugiyama Kobo for DQ songs..

Anyway thanks for giving your thoughts.

Good numbers for FE. Not cool that we have to wait for so goddamn long to put our hands on it. This shouldn't come out in 2016 in the west.

Great numbers for FE. Makes you wonder how much they will earn with digital content sales after this.

Team Nohr myself.

06./03. [WIU] Splatoon <ACT> (Nintendo) {2015.05.28} (¥6.156) - 37.458 / 348.040 (-14%)

Splatoon just keeps on trucking. Add around 58K digital sales and we have already reached 406K
Going for that half a million now.

Why are strippers at the U.N. bad when they're great at strip clubs???
Fire Emblem 350k is good son.

Splatoon has done quite well and continues to surprise.

Sad that neither tracker commented on FE TCG :(

I know it's optimistic, it's no fun otherwise. It won't just sell to existing WiiU owners though, it's already proven to be a system seller, and hopefully it can stay relevant long enough to benefit from future hardware bumps.

It's proven to be a very leggy title and there's really no telling how far it can go. 500-600k would be pretty low for a game that's selling almost 40k in it's 5th week in the middle of summer. It'd mean we'll start seeing a more rapid decline pretty soon.
I think I commented back when it was released that it felt like Splatoon had a progression design that felt like it could go free-to-play as a backup plan in the event that the game flopped. That no longer appears to be necessary, of course, but it does make me wonder if that's still something they might have up their sleeve for the future, either for a fresh injection of interest when the activity *does* die down, or as a nice freebie launch title for the NX.

It's not that simple when the concept is a very important thing for fans of the series. The novelty of the original P3 and P4 casts crossing over won't be there anymore. They also can't just pull the same thing off again due to story reasons. All of this spin-off stuff resets itself once Persona 5 enters the fray.

Even if it isn't that simple I want another persona game with the gameplay system they made. I don't need another P3 and P4 crossover, the game was just fun to play. The P3 and P4 characters were the icing on the cake.

Of course, I have no idea how viable it is, but it doesn't stop me from wanting it.

Interesting that SplatJune basically beats everything other than Christmas. Were the PS4 spikes at the start of the year largely for Bloodborne?

Persona Q with the combined casts of Persona and Persona 2 need to happen...

it's never going to happen, isn't? T_T

It makes me so happy seeing Splatoon do so well. It's a fantastic little game, and everything points out that the series is here to stay.

Isn't that the Etrian Odyssey (Untold) series you want, then?

Aside from the anomaly that was REmake HD, how do remasters tend to do in Japan? The drop off rate for DMC4SE is concerning.
What anomaly?
Remake HD didn't do any better than the average remaster.

....
Didn't YSO predict 140k for FFXIV also wasn't it bundled?

Not unless they're contributing to it and not making up the entire sales.

Don't Idea Factory/Compile Heart and Nippon Ichi games typically sell like... 50k LTD?

The buying power of the "otaku" crowd is overstated, IMO. The reason why stuff like figurines and anime blurays cost tens of thousands of yen is because there's a small, niche audience for it willing to pay whatever price licensers set.

Maybe we can attribute 50k sales to the Otaku market? =P

-Strong debut for Fire Emblem
-Persona Dance actually didn't underperform as previously predicted
-Splatoon and Minecraft keep showing strong legs
-3DS/PSV/PS4 hardware up

Good week for Japanese gaming.

They couldn't, the double pack is getting scalped for twice the amount now, there is severe supply issues with it..
That would be because it's not a real "double pack" like Pokemon or Soul Sacrifice. It contains more than just both campagins on one cart. It's a limited edition with DLC on the cart that is designed to be a limited run.

So this is what happens when you make sure a formerly niche series gets mainstream appeal. That's great for Fire Emblem, and I hope the series keeps on growing.

Seems that Persona did decent. And Splatoon just keeps on trucking.

Sorry if it was already explained in this thread, but is there are reason for the 50k difference between Media Create and Famitsu on Fire Emblem?

500k milestone reached then, and it's the biggest selling software on Vita.

It should reach 600-700k LTD easily now, but at which level will it stop selling :p

Otaku market is actually small in Japan here. The game being really good of course can be another reason why the game did really well.
Woah woah woah. Let's not start thinking reasonable here. It has 'waifu anime shit' in it, it couldn't be anything but bad.

Isn't that the Etrian Odyssey (Untold) series you want, then?

Almost, but I prefer the skill system that Persona Q created. The sub persona's created a nice compromise between the characters having one main persona, but still having the ability to customize their move sets. I enjoyed it more than the way Persona 3/4 handled skills so I would like to see it come back.

At the end of the year, LTD will be close to 800k, Welcome the one and only vita million seller in Japan.

Having waifu does not render one game being unable to be good though.(I know thats sarcasm here but i just wanted to response.)^_^

After all, one of the game which had 0 anime also had a waifu for me....... My Waifu in Dragons Dogma.^_^ Ohhh how i miss Aelinore and of course my Main cute Pawn.^_^

No, Famitsu has it all as one listing at 350k and Media Create has it as two totaling at 300k.

I'm gonna post it again.

Famitsu and Dengeki tracked PKM ORAS double pack as two copies, Media Create as one. Famitsu is supposed to estimate Digital Cards. Not for Dengeki and Media Create.

Famitsu
01./00. [3DS] Pokemon Omega Ruby / Alpha Sapphire # <RPG> (Pokemon Co.) {2014.11.21} (¥4.937) - 1.534.593 / NEW

Dengeki
01./00. [3DS] Pokemon Alpha Sapphire (Pokemon) {2014.11.21} - 801.829 / NEW <80%>
02./00. [3DS] Pokemon Omega Ruby (Pokemon) {2014.11.21} - 700.494 / NEW <80%>
Total: 1.502.323

Media Create (tracked as one copy)
01./00. [3DS] Pokemon Omega Ruby / Alpha Sapphire <RPG> (Pokemon Co.) {2014.11.21} (¥4.937) - 1.327.671 / NEW
02./00. [3DS] Pokemon Omega Ruby/Pokemon Alpha Sapphire: Dual Pack <RPG> (Pokemon Co.) {2014.11.21} (¥9.874) - 90.497 / NEW
Total: 1.418.168

Media Create (tracked Dual Pack as two copies)
01./00. [3DS] Pokemon Omega Ruby / Alpha Sapphire # <RPG> (Pokemon Co.) {2014.11.21} (¥4.937) - 1.508.665 / NEW

Media Create's comment talking about one or two copies tracked:
“Pokémon Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire” sold 1.509 million copies mainly to returning users

・ Due to the release of popular title “Pokémon Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire,” total software sales amounted to 1,854,058 copies (290.87% of last week).
They didn’t reach, however, the weekly sales in the second week of October (total software sales: 1,854,220 copies) when “Monster Hunter 4G” was released, placing the second largest weekly sales in this year.

・ Top-ranked “Pokémon Alpha Sapphire” (714 thousand copies) and second-ranked “Pokémon Omega Ruby” (614 thousand copies) sold 1.328 million copies in total.
If we include “Pokémon Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire Double Pack” as 2 copies per 1 unit, they were 1.509 million copies.
The latest installment was a remake of “Pokémon Ruby/ Sapphire” released in November 2002, and they didn’t reach initial weekly sales of 1.867 million copies of “X” (961 thousand copies) and “Y” (906 thousand copies) released in October 2013.
But, they were almost the same as total sales of 1.443 million copies of past remake title “Soul Silver” (723 thousand copies) and “Heart Gold” (720 thousand copies), although a single comparison is impossible because an estimating period in the latest installment in the first week is a day longer.

・ According to our data about purchasers, as for age of purchasers of “Alpha Sapphire” in initial week, the highest was around twenties, so it seems that it was purchased mainly by the returning users who had played its previous installment, “Ruby/ Sapphire”.
Meanwhile, the proportion of 15 and under was significantly lower than that of “X” and “Soul Silver,” so it is noteworthy whether they will attract young users in the end of the year selling season, when the demand for a gift will go up.
