"A hint of gayness" had always been, like, a bare minimum requirement, that's why femme dudes are so appealing. 👌
Something like that being such an immediate turn off just screams internalized homophobia/self-loathing.

I feel kinda awkward barging into this thread where everyone seems to know one another, but I kinda wanna vent.

By far the worst thing about being gay, at least for me, is that I'm literally only attracted to straight guys. Gay men do nothing at all for me. In fact, once I detect even a hint of gayness, any attraction I may have had disappears. Finding someone is going to be impossible. 😢 Does anyone else have this problem?
If you are literally only attracted to straight guys, then yes you will be forever alone.

Now if you are practically only attracted to straight guys, maybe there is some hope for you. ;) #Sematics

But for serious, I can only hope that you are either very young or haven't met a lot of gay people.

I think the mindset of 'straight adolation' and the culture of 'masc4masc, straight acting only, no fairies pls' among some gay men comes from a place of immaturity.

Trust me, straight guys can't take dick like a true gayer. They'll just cry to you the day after about how they don't know what it all means and get all paranoid that they magically got AIDS.

Solution? Meet more gay people. Open your mind/ass. Enjoy.

straight acting/masc only/ discreet/ no femes/ no fats in the making

It sucks to limit yourself to the same type of boring ass try hard macho man, sis. If a hint of "feminine" emotion turns off you off completely then idk what to tell you.

I guess I mean any qualities that wouldn't exist in a straight guy. Gay interests are fine, but any gay mannerisms, etc. immediately turn me off. I always wish I could transform into a girl for one night just so I could go on a mad dick sucking spree, but being a guy kind of prevents that possibility. It sucks. It just pains me so much knowing the only thing stopping me from having hot pork sessions is my maleness. Not that I have a problem being physically male, but it sucks how it severely limits my sexual opportunities. I've been getting really desperate.

Anyway, I'm glad I finally have a place I can vent my gay frustrations. Thanks guys.

Not all gay guys act the same hon, you can find the straight-acting,ultra macho men who happen to be gay as well but be prepared to be as butch as they are if you want to get anywhere with them, there are always exceptions though.

To you guys who use Grindr, how ripped are you?

I'm such an underweight twig, a shirtless pic is a no-no.
Ripped like a walrus. My body type on there is large.

Lol and still on grindr. Like my profile has everything. Even linked my Instagram account yet people still ask for face pic. (Disgust)

Re: Grindr

Ask for sex when profile say don't ask for sex.
ask for pics but they don't want to click my instagram link.

I get a lot of guys chatting with me for several weeks and asking me out when my profile says not interested in dating, no strings only.

Deep down I wonder why the hell people are looking for dates on Grindr, but I try not to be too judgey.

Craiglist has lots of Masc4Masc. Maybe try there.

They dont know of any local places to meet up gay people or maybe they dont know there are better apps out there I suppose?

i can't

me too and i still got it tbh. shirtless pic and all!

Like how thin are you tho? I'm pretty much skin and bones tbh.

Dead Prince, can I get that instagram link?

I think because meeting other gays by chance is difficult. The only places where you KNOW they are gay is in hookup apps for the most part. Or dating sites like OKCupid, but if more gays are on Grindr/Tindr that's where your efforts and time are best spent. Which means that hookup apps have an uneasy mixing of people looking for no strings sex, and people looking for Mr. Right.

Mannn i hate seeing the straight acting/no femes/no fats stuff. Even more when the "No blacks/minorities in general" pops up.

What I hate about Grindr is that you have to ask them to remove your picture if you want it off of their app, and you can't change profile pics easily, what a stupid draconian measure.

Yeah, I just get frustrated by guys chatting with me when I'm pretty clear about what I'm looking for and they know that there's no chance of it happening but they're deliberately obfuscating that fact.

I often hear a lot of people complaining about guys on the apps bugging them looking for meaningless hookups, just wanted to say that it's just as annoying from the other end.

You just pick the clear profile option from the menu. You've gotta refill in all your profile information but it'll get rid of your picture.

Gay bars, gay social clubs, gay sports clubs, gay societies at universites or large workplaces, here... there are many other places to meet gay guys than your smartphone.

Although in fairness, not everyone lives in a big enough city to have this all available to them. Which is why so many gayers flock to big cities. Like a big gay vortex, sucking us all in.

I like it how so many gays spell Tinder as 'Tindr'. It doesn't succumb to that oft-ridiculed e-removing trend and lots of people don't notice. :p

Then don't forget the mean ones that message you things like "I bet you are good making burritos and tacos" or "You are probably a Middle Eastern with the eau of curry."

Kinda odd considering my profile says Puerto Rico but I guess they cant read. If they read Hispanic/Latino you are automatically Mexican. If they don't read the profile then they jump between Middle Eastern or Mexican -_-

okay you know what I'm not even gonna lie, I was like this too (except for the turning into a girl part.. anyway) I'm pretty sure if I dug enough I could find a post by me from like 2012 saying some messy shit. Anyway, I used to think that guys that were even slightly feminine were not hot at all and that only the jocks were hot and that was that. Over time because of this thread and tumblr I started realizing that that was a pretty shitty outlook to have and around the same time I started noticing that I actually found most of those dreamy straight guys to be quite bland and started finding their personalities to be lackluster to say the least.

I know that straight men can be interesting too, but a lot of straight guys just stick to what they think they have to do and be "men." I started talking to feminine guys too, I started having conversations with them in real life and in the internet too and I really liked a lot of them, they were real hot too lol. Listen, there are a LOT of different gay people because what ties the gay community together is their sexuality only so try to open up your mind and let other people that don't conform to what you find normal in. Eventually I stopped holding myself back and even though I'm naturally awkward and can't actually hold a conversation, I started saying the things I wanted to say and being the way I wanted to be and even if it didn't make a lot of difference to other people and maybe never even noticed it I felt so so much better after that. So... yeah

I don't mind them making the mistake of mixing me up with other places but the comments attached are the thing that annoy me. Also another question that usually pops up as a first thing in conversation is if I'm uncut. I get some interesting conversations from time to time but most of the things you find there is people unlocking private pictures, asking you if you wanna fuck or suck, etc, asking you racial things and the "I wanna be your friend but take a look at my butthole".

Im open to talk about sexuality, race and pretty much everything but these people lack respect or any sense of courtesy. Also no idea why the desperation to see my nudes when there are plenty of penises and asses they can watch online and see in motion.

That's about where I am. I can "handle" games like that but I can't help but smirk and roll my eyes at the more blatant attempts to get that horny straight male audience.

But I'll admit that after having played more games that emphasized on sexy appealing guys recently, that I would be appreciative of more content like that. I dont desire nearlt as much cheesecake as the standard audience gets today...but a little more would be nice, you know? I guess I am technically ok with some characters that are sexed up "just cause", but it's the fact that it's almost a default for female characters that makes it troublesome to me.
Yeah it doesn't bother me that it exists. Straight guys are into it and it sells games. I get that. Would it kill a game to tone it down a bit?

Funny, the games I play where men are made to be sexually appealing aren't even done in the same manner as women are. I've been playing Coming Out On Top lately, and if ever there was a type of game that warrants some objectification it's that. Yet most of the guys are pretty normal looking. They wear clothes a normal person would wear. They aren't bending over backwards to look sexy, or even designed in a manner that's so unrealistic that it's meant to entice you. Yet, every character in that game is gorgeous.

This is a recent Ullr skin from Smite. I find him to be a rather good looking character. Would it have been too much for them to either remove the cloak, or shorten it in the front (and the belt) so it showed off his chest? It wouldn't look ridiculous, but would be pretty sexy. They have no problem doing that to the female gods though.

Could've gotten something like Lord Macintosh in Once Upon A Time. :(

Tbf gay bar scene might not be that dissimilar to Grindr.

Never heard of a gay sports club.

I do regret not really participating in my college's LGBT society. But it was on the same night as other stuff I wanted to do so w/e

I've lived in Dublin and London, and both cities had gay rugby and football clubs, among other sports. I'm sure they must exist in other cities.

Gay clubs are filled with some scary hoes at times yes, but gay bars can be nice. I guess it depends on whether you can find a gay bar/pub that is quieter or has the right 'vibe' you're looking for. I used to frequent the 'alternative' gay nights at pubs and clubs in Dublin (Think less Britney and more Bowie) and made some nice friends there.

It's sad. I'll check out some random anime on Netflix that was recommended to me only to be turned off the very first episode:

Magi has what looks to be a 8-year old protagonist obsessed with tits, motorboating titties in a bar, and fantasizing about swaths of nude women with giant breasts;

7 Deadly Sins has a lead who looks 12 fondle the breasts of a woman he just met, with no reaction from her;

Expelled from Paradise begins with a virtual-reality security officer with tits nearly as big as her head, who is sent to a planet where she has to be literally excreted by the space ship so they can do close-ups and slow pans over her womanly bits covered in gelatenous green goo. It looks like they even constructed a 3D model of her breasts so they can rotate and bounce believably, whereas all of the other characters I've seen so far (other than objects like vehicles) are all 2D.

It's a wonder how women can get into anime at all.

I can't with the double dose of stupidity of "masc4masc ONLY" and "you know who are the most least tolerant of gay people? The gays". I try to be a good poster and at least put some effort into argument and try to back them up but this is just. Luckily I'm off to bed before I write something dumber and less conducive to the discussion than this.

Ben-Hur, kinda. :3
Ratsky, just because you get an erection from watching men clad in loincloth getting whipped doesn't make the film queer-themed.

At least someone here will commiserate with me. I'm gonna be honest and say that I have no real sexual experience outside of my childhood experimentation with other guys. I was maybe 12 at the time.

I didn't think ppl would react so heatedly when I said masculinity turns me on. I mean, surely other gay guys can understand that we don't choose who or what we are attracted to. It's just innately there, in us.

Paraphrasing, there is a big difference between 'Gayness is a turn off, I only like straight men' vs 'Masculinity turns me on'.

Welcome. :)

Agreed.

Also, I couldn't remember, Pamplemousse, if you'd posted in this thread before. If not, welcome!

EDIT: Pamplemousse, if you're comfortable with it, a good way of introducing yourself to this thread is the IBQ!

I'm so over fanservice in games, really. I also don't think the solution is to add more male fanservice. I don't want games to be softcore porn, why are gamers such horndogs? :[ Some years ago I wouldn't have believed Street Fighter and Fire Emblem would turn into Dead or Alive and Record of Agarest War.

mte. its p gross but i rarely play games so idrgaf

That's Lord Macintosh? That's a HUGE difference.

Compare this:

To that:

thats kind of gross tbh. hollywood needs to be more accepting of different body types

Ratsky, just because you get an erection from watching men clad in loincloth getting whipped doesn't make the film queer-themed.

(I was referring to the fact that Gore Vidal injected gay subtext into the film and Stephen Boyd played his scenes with Charlton Heston as though their characters used to be gay lovers) :3

If he's been turned into a love interest in OUAT, I agree. If he hasn't, I'd say Hollywood already has a lot of different male body types on TV. That said, there's always work to be done.

He's not, he's a total asshole.

Though I do agree that Hollywood should portray more body types in film. I was just using him as an example as it was close to Ullr's design.
