The Witcher 3 is insane boring and I can’t play more than 1 hour or it. Geralt of Rivera or whatever is just BORING

Yes and no. Most days it’s clear to me that Sony makes the best games. Then I play something on Switch or Gamepass and switch sides. But overall I prefer Sony.

While I’m at it, here’s my not so controversial opinion. The gap between Sony and MS 1st is vast. Almost night and day. This became evident when I finally secured a PS5 and saw my Series X collecting dust. Prior to the 5’s arrival I’d sing the praises of Gamepass. Saw and appreciated the variety of titles, big and small. And enjoyed raising the gamerscore on my newest account.

Then comes the SexStation. 1st game I played was Miles Morales and HOLYSHIT. Blown away. This coming from someone that hated on PS4 Spiderman due to pacing issues. Then played TLOU2, now on Ghost of Tsushima. The difference in quality is obvious. Better story telling, immersion, graphics.

Put it like this. It’s easy for me to turn off Xbox. I have to pry myself away from the PlayStation. Just one more mission, I’ll stop after the next cutscene. Hour passes and I’m still telling myself the same thing 😆 Their games suck me in.
Exact opposite for me. The PS5 collects dust and my XSX gets all the play. The Xbox is the better value by FAR at this moment. Maybe when PlayStation releases some games it’ll change up but for now… nah

I only know one person that has both consoles at launch. Somehow he lucked out and got both within a few weeks of each other. Anyway, he has said the same thing, he has hardly used his PS5 the past 6 months. He played the titles early on that came out, then its been nothing but gamepass for him after that. Going to be interesting to see how things play out with both platforms.

Gaming is extremely sanitized and immature when it comes to nudity particularly with womens bodies.
Like why tf does a game like Diablo 4 not have any nudity lol, why are the Succubus more modestly dressed than random male demons and human enemies?
Fucking stop being so scared of nipples it's just weird.
'' Oh look at us we're so dark and edgy, anyways Succubus for some reason wears clothes and women in our art mimicing old paintings gotta have that modesty curtain ''.
The same goes with the female Barbarian she looks like some Caravan/ Arabic Mercenary more than a Barbarian in so much gear next to the Barb because they gotta cover up that upper torso with random fabric it gives off a totally different vibe.

And also in the sense that there's just no fun allowed with it, not every game in existence needs to be a gritty medieval dudebro simulator.
I like games like Mordhau and Mount and Blade too, but sometimes I want to play a game with the Korean style for example.
But Western companies for some reason have this mentality that only one is allowed to exist at a time there's basically no variety at all as a result they're too obsessed with trends and '' image ''.

People that obsessively hate on it too are cringe as hell, who gives a shit if you're offended/ don't like it?
You have almost every single game in existence to play already just play something different and stfu let others have fun for once.

Plays with kids toys, in the adult gaming world
Nintendo is a complete joke hardware wise its not about power its about quality of components and respecting the end user

The last time I was content with playstation's exclusive game lineup was 2011

Creatively playstation has been extremely safe for the last ten years if you enjoy the limited types of games they focus on
I suppose you are in hog heaven everyone else is SOL its been almost nothing for years and years

xbox needs to buy sega and sell sega branded consoles to bring balance to the force

Reading a lot of post on gaf and other places and I just really need to vent.....

*Inhale*

The idea that any hardware maker that also sells first party software would allow game pass on their consoles is the dumbest fucking idea I've heard in a long time.

Who would buy games if they could just play everything on games pass??

How would that help anyone but Microsoft!?

Why would any of these companies work against their own best interests???

I don't know why this triggers me so much, but it's just such dumb fucking idea.

With all the praise it's getting, I'm really trying to like Tales of the Abyss, but... it's definitely one of the weakest in the series.

The combat is... plain bad. It has some great ideas, like FoF (and it works great), but ruins everything with a terrible first implementation of Free Run. Enemies have basically the same AI as in Symphonia, making them totally unable to react to any of your characters running circles around them while Natalia pelts them with arrows from afar.
The music is totally forgettable. There are some good tracks - "Meaning of Birth" is actually a great one, and a very nice reprise of the opening them, but definitely feels wrong as a boss fight music.
The story is nothing to write home about. While it's still better than Graces or Vesperia, I'd still put it in the bottom half of the series.
Most of the main characters are just bad. Guy and Jade are good at least, but Luke has to be one of the worst main characters I've ever seen in a video game. "But he has great character development" they said, "you should wait and see how he changes through the game!" Well guess what, he becomes worse and worse everytime he gets that "character development"! He only starts getting slightly less insufferable for the last hour or two.
The English dub is terrible as a whole. The main cast is barely passable, but some of the villains are just... ergh. Just hearing Sync or Dist talk was enough to make me close the game and look for an undub version.

Call of Duty is the best shooter series ever.

- Smooth playing (especially during the 360/PS3 time when it ran at 60 fps)
- Never broken at launch
- Easy to play
- Lots of maps and modes
- Lots of stats
- Warzone
- Has a mix of WWII, MW, Cold Era and futuristic settings rotating every year
- SP campaigns seem pretty good (from what I hear, since last one I played was during the 360 era)
- Shitloads of people play so you can always find a lobby. You can even log into World at War (I did last year) and even find matches with it's last stand lobbies of 500 people still playing on Xbox
- IMO, it takes a lot of skill to stay alive and have consistently good stats in a series where it's often a quick 3-bullet death

Gaming is entering a new age where AAAA (GAAS) dominates. The size, budgets, and revenue of these games will dwarf everything we know of right now. AAA (single player) will still exist but will live in the shadow of AAAA and will diminish from the shade.

Horizon Forbidden West, Elden Ring, God of War Ragnarok, etc will all do better than the GAAS Marvel's Avengers

GAAS doesn't mean automatic success and the idea behind GAAS is not to increase the budget to AAAA, it is to monetize for maximum profit

Fortnite, PUBG, and Warzone all individually will do better ($$$) than Forbidden West + Elden Ring + Ragnarok combined.

But that's not even half of it.

Forbidden West, Elden Ring, and Ragnarok all represent refined, polished, big budget experiences. They'll all sell ~15 million units. The path to 30 million, or 60 million units is unknown.

Fortnite, PUBG, and Warzone all represent the first versions of Frankensteins monster. The entire industry studied those 3 and are currently pumping resources towards monster 2.0.

GAAS has huge growth potential.
AAA does not.
Hence AAAA.

This may be true but there will always be a market for polished single player games. Every gamer doesn’t want to mindlessly shoot people online while paying real money for digital clothes and gear.

You seem to have this notion that there's going to be so many other mega hit GAAS games when history has showed us that 9/10 of them don't reach the level of Fortnite, PUBG and COD

Most of them fail

Meanwhile strong SP games are thriving and getting tons of praise

We agree.

And yet AAAA is still...

In nature, there's always fewer apex predators.

Also: "Getting tons of praise" always loses out to "Making tons of money."

I would rather replay one/all of those SP three to infinity than any GAAS shit.

Gran Turismo 7 has barely changed the game or moves the genre forward in any meaningful way. Being cross Gen hurts it’s visuals which are still good, but leaves you wondering what could have been fully utilizing the PS5. The car list is uninspired and weak. Major brands like Koenigsegg simply aren’t present. Even newer versions of cars from established brands like Lamborghini are still pushing the Veneno like it’s new and exciting. As always some cars can have multiple versions eating into that 400+ number. This is even worse if you are coming from GT Sport, because it’s basically the same car list. The game needs massive amounts of DLC cars. It’s crazy how few new cars are in. IGN was right, barely anything newer then 2017.

Final verdict: Wait for a sale.

Are you sure? I was under impression that even failed gaas is more profitable than decent sp game.
If no one plays it, it won't make money, while a SP game selling 5 million units at $60 is already $300,000,000 in revenue
