I don't see why people think Microsoft are reacting to pre order data when it's obvious they can't make enough consoles anyway.

Sony SOLD more PS3s than 360 after launching 18 months later with a $200 more expensive console.

MS is guaranteed to lose this gen sales wise, the whole company is freaking out just to minimize this loss, and its showing.

MS moneyhatting Platinum for a Japan only game? With Japan being Tier three or Tier why do you want to live there? We don't even know when the Xbone will come out there. Compared to the One the 360 will look like a success in Japan. This makes no sense.

And a Kinect-less SKU next year? I guess that is MS in panic mode. But it makes no sense. Kinect is for casuals. The initial buyers are hardcore. So drop it for the initial release (getting price parity with Sony) and then when the components drop in price bundle it (and anyway casuals will jump in only with $300 or less). I guess they got blinded by Apple's success and think consumers are willing to spend $600 easily on gadgets. That did not work out for the Wii U.

Grrr, wish it were all more transparent.

Surely Namco is funding the development though? I can't see From being able to afford development of a $10mil+ game. And that's why it's still a distinct possibility to me that they'd work with Sony. I certainly can't imagine they'd want to take the risk with next-gen development independently.

Indeed, Microsoft had failure after failure at their hands regarding various products from many different sections.

A console which only benefit is XBL money is not the biggest concern.

I am pretty sure Microsoft is starting to hate Xbone.

Namco is definitely paying (which is why they have the trademark).

I still think Sony is getting a game, I just don't see why they'd choose to work with Sony and let them keep the IP. They could work with a number of other publishers that would give them control.

personally a supermaket midnight launch is better for me as i can line up inside, whilst the girlfriend can browse clothes or buy food, then we can swap over if neccesary, makes the midnight launch a lot easier.

EDIT: i imagine i wont be the only uk resident thinking this.
