Talking about the early release map


Man, Im really torn on BF1. I feel like the maps really dont promote some quieter moments where you feel like youre battling in a smaller battle as the war rages on.

So many of these maps are dogpiles of bodies and noise

In BF4 for example, I can hold a flag and then defend it the whole game.


Really really hope the new maps are big enough and more importantly, the Conquest change hits soon. If dice can add in defensive bonuses, I think the game would be more enjoyable

Also, can anyone suggest settings for the ADS speed? Having it the same speed as the hipfire is messing my aim up

Yeah, Pro is great for this game even without a 4k TV. Framerate is great and the game is a touch sharper too. I think it bumps it from 900p to 1080p.

This was a very intentional move by DICE to increase the pace of the game up so that it's more enjoyable to newcomers.

That's also why everyone's run speed is so fast it's almost as if they have exosuits; despite being set in WW1.

New map is fun, but the whiteness hurts my eyes lol

They need a black color font for the point pop up in those maps

I really enjoy the power kits, hope they add an anti air one

A lot of it is due to people zerging around trying to cap flags instead of just defending.

man I wish theyd change the medal system. Hate that u need to do things in order. I have to assume most people just ignore them but if youre trying real hard for some of them it totally ruins the fun and ptfo mindset

I just wish theyd make them like assignments already

I went back to BF4 for a while but it just doesn't feel as good as BF1 to play. Yes, there is far more weapons and customization, but it looks like trash (on ps4) and the feedback isn't as good on the weapons. Granted, that was only after a few rounds so it may have taken a little longer to adjust to it again.

Ha, been going back to BF4. I have 40ish hours in it total and I remember hating it. Especially the TTK compared to BF3

But Im really loving it now. Wish I gave it more time

I love the modern setting, its the future I hate.


But youre right about the game being fugly. It looks so last gen. and while I hate some of the maps, Ive grown to love a number that I used to dislike

Going back to BF4 was hard for me too. The graphics are a huge downgrade. I also feel like the classes are better balanced in BF1. BF4 does a few things much better though. Vehicle play in BF4 is way, way better than BF1 in my opinion. Tanks are more fun to play, helicopters are awesome to fly around in. BF1 is still missing a map that really focuses on vehicles so I'm hoping we'll get some massive maps soon with a bunch of vehicles available. Maybe one in the upcoming expansion?

BF4 looks great still, sure BF1 definitely made some improvements but BF4 isn't a bad looking game by any means.

I miss the modern setting, I like BF1 but I've got 70 hours in it compared to the 300+ I had in BF4.

There is something about the huge amount of vehicles in BF4 that made it special. Nothing quite like having 3+ tanks running around with choppers whizzing by. The game had a lot more variety which BF1 sorely lacks.

I honestly went back to BF4. I play BF1 here and there but BF4 as me coming back. Just some stuff in BF1 just kills the experience for me.

BF1 the bullet deviation just kills me.. Having a medic rifle and shooting someone right in front of you and having half your clip miss. Angers up the blood.

The spawning is still so terrible in BF1. Having a good amount of deaths being from your spawn location is BS. I mean it does happen in BF4 but definitely not as much and yet seems too be more comedic for some reason.

Agreed about vehicle play. I wish BF1 will improve theirs.


I think BF4 nailed mixing infantry and vehicles

Youd have infantry maps with vehicles sprinkled in and it was great.

I hope we see more indoors in bf1. Maps with castles, or hotels, etc

Dunno about that. Tanks in BF1 feel way more destructive and have so much more heft to them, plus when you fire the shell the feedback is awesome. Planes are also soooo much better in BF1.

My opinion of course.

Sniper heaven but the map can be fun. Feels like it's more often one team just absolutely dominating the other than on any other map I've played. Maybe once more people play it and get used to it, it will even out.

I find there's a lot of cover, so getting sniped isn't a huge issue for me at the moment.

Haha, I love hearing sniper bullets go by me but I don't really sweat it, just stay active. Sometimes you just know they suck so you just learn to ignore them :p

Hi guys, I bought a new TV SONY Bravia XE9005 4K HDR TV a few days ago and I notice some strange graphic issues while playing the game,especially noticable on Lupkow pass and it is the snow.
I am getting some strange pixelisation somehow on the top of the snow like a net of pixels or something. I wonder if anyone with similar 4K TV experience the same?
Today we will get 5 more " snowy " maps and if I get the same snow issues will be very disappointed.

I'm still using the regular club because of the dumb melee weapons in the French dlc requiring 50 kills with specific weapons 3 times.

Played A LOT of battlefield operations this holiday weekend. its been frustrating because ive been playing on 130+ ping for a few months now and lose a lot of gunfights i should be wining.

Then I found out that my ping drops to 30 every night around midnight so decided to play late every night. So much fun. Bullets dont disappear, enemies dont magically activate their bayonet charge right in front of me, no more knife attacks from behind after just walking in front of me. my kdr for the day went from 2.0 to 5.75 with some incredible games where i went 70+ kills with less than 5 deaths.

Overall KD now sits at 1.99 after 35k kills. i have a bad habit of playing the objective and getting myself killed but been playing a lot more defensively lately knowing i will lose most 1v1 battles during daytime with bad ping. Oddly enough, i am winning a lot more as well. there were several games where assault players just made my tank's life a living hell and usually i would just sacrifice myself so my team can move up and capture the flag while i took as many of them out before i died, but now i stay a little back and clear out the objective before moving in.

There is this alley in Amiens where the defending team spawns in a building right behind C in operations. not sure if its a glitch or they just have a guy just waiting there spawning people in but they always seem to come out of that building even if they have the C flag or not. Yesterday like 30 of them came out of there and kept trying to kill me. i stayed right there for a good 10 minutes while my team tried to capture A and B without me. these guys just wouldnt stop.

had an incredible 40 kill streak with the villar pilosa on Argonne Forest at 130 ping. would've gotten a lot more if my bullets didnt magically disappear into thin air.

Overall played 13 operation rounds yesterday and lost only the first one which i joined late on the last sector. I switched teams after every operation to play as the attacking side and won every time with teams i had just beaten the game before. Finished the night unbeaten over the 3 rounds of Oil Of Empires. Stayed in the tanks i spawned in all the way till the end.

Operations is still the best mode in the game. its a travesty that they still havent introduced a server browser or quickplay option for DLC operations.

Cant wait to try this game in HDR later today.

Damn. Destiny is taking alot of hype from this. So stupid to release it almost on the same day.
There is not even a thread. All my BF1 streamers are not online or streaming Destiny lol.

Might not be right but I think what you're seeing is the checkerboarding in effect.

Red Tide operation 64 man is fucking stupid.

Pretty maps though but holy shit. Playing on Pro and it gets so ridiculous that my framerate goes into the 10s at times. Definitely can feel that these maps aren't as optimized as the others.

Loving Albion so far. To be determined on the others. Still getting an itch on them. One our team was almost getting spawned killed because, you know.

I have not gotten to try the new weapons but close to unlocking one medic and one LMG.
