More Exoprimal is always good.

Why more Battle Network news? It already has a release date. Game Pass?

Capcom is so risk averse the recent years. Can't be excited for this when most of their biggest games are remakes and inferior spin-offs like Rise.

Rise is MH 6 though.
Lmao. Rise is absolutely not MH6. MH operates in generations, World is 5, as stated by capcom themselves, and Rise is just 5 Portable. Rise has a handful of new monsters and an overwhelming amount of 5th gen. What in the world would make you think that it was a brand new generation game?

New monster? New mechanics? New locales? New story(Even as shitty as it is)?It even had the same structure of release(Main game then big expansion) as World, and its been THE go to MH experience ever since it released, as the Capcom marketing has been showing(Its due to being a newer game, nothing else)

Its a new mainline entry through and through. It's selling as one too.

This numbered thing is stupid too. What makes you so sure that MH World was 5, since it was not numbered as such? Capcom dropped the numbered stuff because of stupid fans like you fighting over stupid topics like this. MH World is a mainline entry, and so is MH Rise. Capcom treated it as such, and the sales showed it as much.

Now looking forward to what a new game can bring after what the mainline Rise brought to the table!

Anyway, for the Direct itself:

We probably won't get any surprises outside of the games mentioned, as Capcom never done that before.

The demo for RE4 should be dropping in this Direct, and its the only thing I'm really looking for.

This logic is flawed. By this logic, monster hunter generations actually monster hunter 5. It had lots of new monsters, new locations, new mechanics. You could play as a cat! That’s next gen for sure.

Monster hunter world must have been the spin off then because….

Rise is MH 6 though.
So MHR is actually MH7. Do you see how this falls apart now?

How do you view the relationship between Monster Hunter: World and the other Monster Hunter games? Is this a spinoff, or a main title?

: This is the next main Monster Hunter game. Our Osaka team is working on it. We've brought in some people who are more familiar with next-gen technology to come in and help us adapt it for the current generation of consoles.

The producer already confirmed himself that MHW is 5. Rise is just a spin off of 5. Just like MHP3rd was a spin off of Tri, and Generations was to 4.

That last quote just confirms that MH World is a mainline entry, just like Rise.

And sure! I agree with your first statement! That's why Capcom ditched the numbers and simply uses a subtitle for all their mainline entries, like Zelda does. Or is Skyward Sword, one of the most disliked 3D Zelda, a spin off now? lol.

Rise has a lot of new monster, has completely new and game changing feautures to gameplay, new locales, etc. Sure, it has some returning monsters inside it, but so did World if I'm not mistaken. So does that make World a spin off? Of course not lol, because that logic is flawed.

Anyway, looking forward to what Capcom does to mainline MH after Rise was such a wonderful entry.

Would have been tempted to watch if it had mentioned sf6 being shown but from the list there only re4 and dont really need to see anything more on that
