no spores on the tv show

what you guys think about that?

Mazin said that they shouldn't do spores in the show because it's not consistent with how airborne viruses work in real life. And that it wouldn't make sense the the viewer that's watching the show. As gamers, it's not an issue when playing the game because we are..............playing a game.

Another W! 🔥

I feel this will be a cornerstone for PlayStation Studios and PlayStation games.

Successful shows = bigger reach = more sales = higher profitability = bigger budgets = better games + more games by PlayStation Studios.

Yep! I gotta say, I'm going to start laying off Jim Ryan at this point going forward. It's clear to me that his vision for Playstation is one that can succeed. I just need to adjust to his style of leadership.

There was never any doubt that this show would at least be good to v good with the talent behind it AND it being overseen by Druckman, the fact it's come out and it's being herald as an absolute banger of show, is music to my ears especially after reading all the posts from embarrassing cunts slating everything about it, from the creators to the casting choice for Ellie, this cuppa tea tastes so much better with a few spoonfuls of smugness.

Cannot wait to see it, is it being released on a weekly format or are they dumping the whole show? Please be the latter ffs

You can literally solve that by letting a random dude saying this line in the first episode:

"after a while we learned how to burn the infected bodies left outside to not let he virus spread in the air" and NOBODY would say a thing against that.

It wasn't that hard, wasn't?

In that way you can still have setpieces with spores indoors and something even outdoors where there are no people to take care of the bodies, imagine like an episode where they have to pass this small ghost town with spores in the air everywhere, no visibility and clickers both dead and alive who can attack from any angle.

It is not a major flaw to me, but let's not act like there was no way to include spores and still have a consistent logic.

The only thing that bugs me out about this being an HBO show is... I subscribed to HBO yesterday for this show (Crave in Canada) and the quality of the streaming is ABSOLUTE TRASH. Like I was watchign Euphoria and that shit looks like a Pirated bootleg DVD. What the fuck.
Yes, it's 720p. They built it mainly as a mobile streaming service

Aye can't wait to see how much it's affected by all the whining cunts who can't get over Abby...
That's not my main reason. The critics on RT have a history of giving great scores but the actual tv show/movie isn't as good as they make it out to be.

I'll definitely check out the show because I enjoyed the first game.

Show looks great (which is no surprise based on the talent involved both behind the screen and on the screen).

Of course, I can’t wait to read all of the ridiculous complaints from “fans” of the series who hate everything they do with it.

Crave fucking sucks dick. I sail the seven seas for HBO content and play it through plex. I'm more than happy to pay for my content (have subbed to virtually every other streaming service) but not going to reward a mediocre service. If they want my money they'll have to give us the native app like every other place first.

Why you are assuming people watch rings of power?
Talking about paid shill journos in RT who gave that shitshow one 10/10 after another.

As far as I know, they're the same ones who give TloU TV Show a 100% perfect score.

I'll wait for reviews made by actual fans who saw House of the Dragon and called it great, despite thinking the end of GoT was bullshit - which it was.

Don't worry sailor, those cunts will be countered by all the lifeless cucks who are too busy stanning for Abby with 10/10 reviews while their wives are fucking the next door neighbour.RT will be a bloodbath of loser ideals and I'm here for all of it.

Anyway,I can't wait to check this out The Last of Us is in my top 10 games so I'm eager to see how it translates to a movie/show and having the Cernobyl Director at the helm means great things ahead.

With how pathetic most writers are in the industry today I'm cautious.. but HBO has a better track record than most so hopefully it's as good as they claim.

If this show is as big as people are making it out to be then The Last of Us Online is gonna be absolutely bonkers. Especially being free to play.
It needs good support but yeah if its good and f2p it will probably have a shit ton of players.

oddly, you know what my biggest fear is? If it comes day 1 to PC how will they handle cheaters? I don't think ND has ever had to dealt with PC gaming on that level.

I don't understand why anyone is surprised considering who made it and for what channel.

Looking forward to watching this. Wondering if I should get around to playing TLOU 2 before watching this. Though I doubt the show will reach the conclusion finale of the game by the end of the season.
The producers are top notch and everything about this looks on point.

Yeah that's always an issue with pc games but i'd think they would hire some kind of expert(s) on that field. We'll find out in a couple of months I guess.

Depends on the content. TLOU will be 4k w/ Dolby vision/atmos like House of the Dragon

Let's hope that these aren't just paid shills so far. Stoked to see it when it drops in a few days!
Rolling Stone? Vanity Fair?
Joel isn't some infallible genius. Bro walked into an opening door and then fell off a balcony and nearly died in TLOU1 like he'd been drinking too much moonshine
C'mon on now bro, for some who still haven't played the game, that scene is a spoiler, and those who have played the game know it's not because he wandered off a balcony.

Another scenario to consider in addition to the "shill" thing is.....it can be a good show and you might still not like it — and I am not saying you are going to do this but just in case — if you end up not liking it, does not mean it was because of paid shills. It is possible for a show to be good and have there be people who don't like it.

Yes, it is entirely possible that I may or may not like it based on the show's quality but also possibly in spite of it.

Not hating through a wide brush while summing up TLoU2 via trans and muscular woman grievances, when the actual amount of plot lines in the game that explicitly talk about those topics are like... what... 5% of the script maybe? Probably less? :messenger_ok:
Imagine claiming that Abby is 5% of the plot of TLoU2 to try to prove a point.

But guys there's no way this can be considered a faithful adaptation! Bella Ramsey is too weird looking to be Ellie, Pedro Pascal is too Latin American to play Joel, and they race-swapped Joel's daughter!

Anyways, thrilled that this appears to be as good as it looks. Druckman has his haters, but expect to see him directing other TV/film stuff too if this is a big success.

They race swapped Tommy's wife Maria as well.

Seems them Miller boys like that sexual chocolate.

You can literally solve that by letting a random dude saying this line in the first episode:
Yeah that might let the morons get away with it but I'm glad they're going down the intelligent route myself personally
"after a while we learned how to burn the infected bodies left outside to not let he virus spread in the air" and NOBODY would say a thing against that.
You really don't have a clue how airborne viruses work do you
It wasn't that hard, wasn't?
Just stupid

Aye and imagine a gust of wind passes through that town and blows the spores all over our plucky protagonist's who where on the outside of town planning what to do but didn't see the incoming spore cloud on the wind cause they're fucking spores and invisible to the naked eye...
It is not a major flaw to me, but let's not act like there was no way to include spores and still have a consistent logic.
There's literally no way to include an airborne pathogen and have it consistent with the physical reality of the setting, it's fucking stupid, it's a great videogame mechanic but having these pockets of airborne spores just lingering in an area or a building and not be affected by wind is just daft

They could have done that, yes. But I wonder if Mazin felt like that could have gotten in the way at some point later in the Season or if they do a Part 2?
