A rough estimate is 95k-135k. It's a big shipment for Switch, that's the only sure.

That unspectacular SFC port can be ported by anyone. The odds were that probably IS was heavily involved with the SNES VC on Wii. Each hardware changes what devs assist on each console VC.

I was referring to shipped so I should be using different terminology for that.

sinobi didn't share details for the amount of amazon special Switch bundles with Arms or Mario Kart, just that they were sold out immediately. There is another one scheduled for August 23 with a Quick Pouch Collection.

gamesmaya remains at very low stock for Switch but he movement of peripheral devices is active, likely because the body is selling at bigger stores. Especially "Pro-Con" "Joy-Con" and "Carrying Case".

I thought it was a limited edition bundle but I guess it's the one thing that would be expected to still be sold through to the end of the year since it would be a good bundle for holidays.

What I meant regarding July/August was about the stockpile of Splatoon 2 bundles that were made before Splatoon 2's launch.

They obviously made a lot, I'm just wondering how different it will be once they've emptied out the inventory that it will just be whatever they can ship out immediately.

But of course there would still be stockpiling anyway due to preparing for the end of year holidays.

surprised they didn't to a trilogy or bundle on Vita a few years back when I was still relevant in Japan. And I also think it is time for a HD collection for Switch and PS4. talk about easy money. No reason why the franchise should be stuck with Nintendo or portable devices. I enjoy my visual novel games on big screen way more like steins gate and dangan ronpa.

If you want Gyakuten Saiban in HD you can always go for the mobile version.
Every Gyakuten since Gyakuten Saiban 5 has been made with HD assets so they could indeed port them on more powerful hardwares later on without the need to rework them from a graphical point of view.

It is cross-play (it'd be a barren wasteland if not), but you have a different structure (your forced more character slots and pay more for them, where you're unlikely to have that many characters), and you cannot move your sub to another platform where you can on other platforms. If it didn't have cross-play, no one would even be buying it. Sony will allow cross-play when it suits them to not have a dead product but it still comes with these clearly idiotic caveats.

The PS4 version is simply a worse version for the consumer than any other version of the game.

The upgrade promotion is there because Wii support is being phased out with the next expansion and they want the remaining Wii player to keep p(l)aying. They did the same kind of promotion with FF XIV PS3 to PS4 afaik. Probably won't be tracked though.

Excellent question. I would guess... no. Perhaps they'll release upgrade numbers at some point, but I'm thinking Famitsu (since they're downloads I think) won't include them because surely they'd be absurdly high, being free to the what, 600k Wii version owners it was?

To follow up on a few of our mobile games from around a month ago.

First up, Final Fantasy XV: A New Empire seems to be working out pretty well. I think this was a good partnership for both of them. As I mentioned when it came out, this type of game takes quite a while to start monetizing (people have to get to the point where buildings take forever to upgrade), and we're seeing that really come into fruition now.

Hot Shots is doing okay, but not astonishing. It started sinking down to around rank 120, but it's back up into the 60s now. Where it has held unusual well is in downloads (it's still #6 just on today's chart), so that might help the brand and game long term. Ratings are also quite positive.
