How will this one tamriel even work? I'm starting of beginning anew since I haven't played in ages. Can I just start at level 1 and choose a zone to start in or do you need to run there all the way?

I'm interested to see if this affects the story at all. With the three factions at war, it made sense (story-wise) that your character wouldn't be able to venture to other territories..

Hello!

Using my US PSN Account, I bought the ESO: Gold Edition from the current Bethesda Publisher sale. I only use my US account to purchase games on sale since it happens more frequently in the US store, my main ID is a Singapore PSN account.

My question is, for the digital gold edition, if I link my Singapore account to my ESO account will it have access to the full game (with all the DCLs included in the gold edition)? Or is that restricted to my US account (the account I purchased it with)? I am aware that DLCs are restricted to one account only.I haven't linked my ESO account with either of my PSN account yet.

Sorry for the long winded explanation but I've sent this question to the ESO customer support, but alas, no reply yet.

i think thats whats happening to me right now wtf.. hate this installer its always fucking up.
Let it download for a while and then stop and resume. It should show the "Preparing to Download" and then it will show the correct download size.

Do dungeons scale? Because I was having no problem until I went into the Crow's Perch dungeon and then I got my ass handed to me.

I want to get all the DLC, but I feel like I'm going to burn out (again) before I even get to it.

One of the few MMOs where you can come back after months, pick it up and have fun. No need to memorize rotations or deal with awkward tab targetting.

The One Tamriel update is great. The game is overdue for a big expansion that introduces a new class and new skills to existing classes.

Mmmh yeah I bought this last year sometime right after E3 when it went on sale. Its fun to jump back in and not feel that overwhelmed. I know anytime I take extended breaks from FFXIV it takes me a bit to get back into the swing of things.

I do have to ask though to anyone who can answer this I bought all the DLC since it was on sale. The thieves guild and brotherhood automatically make me think of stealthy characters. I'm playing a Dragon Knight right at the moment and focusing on 2-H weapons. Am i going to still have an okay time doing that DLC?

Got a code from Sony for 50% discount on a PAL ESO Gold Edition. I know I will not have time to play it, so will gift the code to the first one who pms me.

So I just spent a few hours playing the PS Pro version on a 4K screen.

The difference is immediately noticeable, even on the character select screen. All aliasing is gone too, and performance appears better - in Cyrodiil, I attended a battle with a few hundred players and it wasn't a slideshow.

Been quite a while since I've played but as I have a nice new Pro I thought I'd give it a go. 40GB update/download?! Fucking hell. And I only get 25Mbps on wifi. It's going to take 4hrs! Is it all for Pro stuff or is there extra content added or something?

Played a bit on 1080p and there is a notable difference as well.

Just got this game cheap from a pawn shop. Is this something I will enjoy on my own, or do I need friends to have fun? So far, I've left a prison and am walking around a snowy area. It's been okay so far, but I would really like new weapons before I start dumping skill points into stuff. Any beginner tips? Also, I'm seeing that the DLC is on sale. Might get that.

Game will be $25 for PS4 (and XBO) on black friday at BB.

I've been getting the MMO itch, but want a more casual experience. How's the community on PS4? Is then end game good?

This is a very casual / solo friendly MMO. And thanks to the megaserver tech, the zone you're in is always populated. No ghosts towns like in other MMO's after the first few months.

Seconded, it is very easy to have a good time solo, and the megaserver/one Tamriel has made the game feel alive in a way that I didn't know I wanted.

there's something about bethesda games that have you dling huge patches on ps4

DOOM patches are big as fuck, too. 10 to 16GB big, fucking ridiculous.

Thirded, I think it's probably best played solo to be honest (which is odd for an MMO) because then you'll enjoy the stories rather than racing to endgame.

Not sure if it's a bug or intentional, but the trial version of the game on PS4 doesn't seem to allow me to select 4k or enhanced. Kind of a bummer.

I played ESO a while back before Tamriel One, but never really got to end game content. I'm unsure which class to make now that I'm getting back into it. Don't care for PvP, but are most PvE builds viable for stuff like Maelstrom? seems when I look at guides to get an idea there are seperate builds for different things. I guess I'm just lost and looking for an idea for what class to run just be able to run solo and maybe some dungeons and such with friends.

Hey ESO-GAF, gonna check your game out with the free weekend on Steam.

If I decide to buy the game before the weekend is up, will I lose any bonuses by doing so? I'm mostly looking at the Gold Edition.

It seems that there are not many people playing this game ... Started yesterday on PS4. Played for only an hour, but what I saw looked nice.

Do you mean GAF people specifically? Game is pretty populous whenever I play it.

Thanos acquires the fully powered Infinity Gauntlet in The Avengers: Infinity War, but loses when all the superheroes team up together to stop him.
Gold Edition worth it for someone who owns the original?

I think I probably missed a skyshard in Hozzin's Folly in Bleakrock Isle and I've already quested enough to leave there. Is it lost forever? It doesn't seem to be enter-able the last time I've tried before I shrugged and continued playing the game.

Talk to the guy at the entrance and you should be able to get back in.

I'm trying to play during the free weekend but get an error message about connection to server timed out when I try to log in. Maybe the servers are flooded :(

Didn't get the memo regarding the 14th Amendment
I've heard about this One Tamriel update recently and a friend and I are trying out the free weekend. Does this update allow him to be a different faction than me while allowing us both to group up and do missions? How does grouping and doing missions work anyway? Do both of us get credit for the missions or is it separate and I would just help him do his missions and he help me do mine? Would I see his objectives and whatnot, especially if it's a different faction mission?

Also, any tips for new players? Is there a good profession to be where I can make a good amount of gold like in WoW where mining resources like ore would sell fairly well in the auction house?

I didn't liked the beta but I tried to like ESO again during the latest sale (9.99 €). So, I finished the prologue and I'm now in Vvardenfell, but... damn I dislike this game.

I played more than 100 hours at FF XIV: ARR, witch is, IMHO, the best MMORPG I ever played with everything made to make your experience pleasant, espcially the job system and the fact that you can save your equipement and skills to swap them instantly (outside battles).

Then came ESO. I unlocked skills for both Long sword and Archery. I wanted to swap : you have to open inventory, equip the weapon, then remove the skills that only works for Long sword and equip the ones for the bow.

And only 5 quick slots ? Seriously ?

Then came the crafting and the inventory slots. Oh. My. Gosh. I can understand in MMO's to have a slot limitations in inventory. But in a Elder Scrolls where you're invited to take any flower / insect / ore and open any wardrobe, chest and stuff in front of you for crafting, your inventory is full very, VERY quickly. A weight system wouldn't killed it... I think (might be wrong, I'm not a specialist when it comes to balancing a MMO).

And to make alchemy ? I have tons of ingredients, can only make Melon juice. I can't make my formulas ? In a Elder Scrolls ?!

It's a shame (for me, still my opinion) because I really love and feel like being in a TES when I go exploring alone, doing quests alone... but the rest doesn't make me feel like playing an Elder Scrolls, only a very generic MMORPG with almost the same system as others.

I love the UI, I love the Argonians and Khajiits design, love the 3rd person camera and controls... but I really doesn't feel anything for the game nor the story. I'm not invested at all in the game.

FFXIV is still the GOAT for me but I am really enjoying ESO so far. I guess I'm playing it more like any other Elder Scrolls game than an MMO as I tend to just stumble upon quest lines and pick the ones I want to carry out to conclusion. The quest structure does a good job of keeping me engaged. It's very different than any other MMO I have played.

Once you hit level 15 you unlock the ability to swap between two weapon sets with the d-pad.

Sigh... I have to get to level 15 to... swap weapons (but not skills associated to that weapon ?). Thanks for the info but I don't think I'll get this far.

Skills as well. Theoretically you could also use the two slots for the same type of weapon and have an extended skillset of 10.

That being said, the game isn't for everyone. It's definitely not like a traditional MMO - it's more like an online multiplayer optional Skyrim.

Can someone help me out?

I'm reading like 3 other ESO/LTTP etc threads...but I'm having commitment issues pulling the trigger on Gold Edition while it's $30 at Steam and Amazon. -- I even though about the base game, but everybody says GE worth it.

I keep going back and forth. Do I want to play FF XIV which I played up to Heavensward then quit and haven't been back since. But I know is a great game, nice graphics, and awesome music?

Or do I want to play ESO, which people seem to really like, and it's entirely new to me?

Again, I haven't tried ESO, but I did play about 100 hours each of Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim on their respective release dates.

The gold edition price is the lowest it's ever been on steam. For $30, that is a steal when you compare the amount of content in this game. Especially the gold edition with has a couple expansion packs, they aren't simple dlcs. This game probably has more content then all three of those elder scroll games combined. I'd say just pull the trigger.

I got the gold edition myself and it's a substantial upgrade.

I echo that. The game had it's growing pains and while it isn't perfect, it's probably my favourite RPG experience in quite a while. I really love that I can solo the bulk of this but also group up with people and have a hell of a fun time doing it, too. Highly recommended!

So the HDR patch came out for this yesterday and it looks AWFUL on XB1 at least. Gamma is all messed up so the game suffers from major black crush. Make sure to disable HDR in your settings before playing this game, at least until it's fixed.
