I would say as good as Hereditary and The Witch were, Get Out was truly incredible...
This was not only from a man who had never directed before, but his background was comedy and he wrote not only a brilliant suspense / horror flick, but the film is filled with an amazing look into the troubled past, the slave trade, how white people have appropriated Black Culture, and of course ownership of a fellow human being.
I myself don't agree with the message of the film, but I can't help but respect the level of work and dedication that went into it...
The type of cell phone the main character uses, the fact that the Director did studies and actually learned about real hypnosis not just imaginary mind control, similes and metaphors used continuously throughout the film.
You have to watch it more than once to notice many of the things you might have missed, even if you're not a fan of the overarching message anyone who's a fan of horror should give this a go, it's an awesome film which is why I'm not spoiling anything LOL
