Looks like a fun co-op time 🤷‍♂️

It certainly isn't gonna get 10s but sometimes a game is allowed to just be dumb fun.

Wildlands is still one of my favorite games last gen cause of how much time I got co-op with mates

If it's good in a story driven solo way I'll buy it when the price comes down. I loved all three of their Arkham games but don't have a crew of people to play co-op with.

Looks great and fun to me.

I never watched any of the movies or comics so I don't even know who those characters are. Maybe that helps 🤷

Was hyped for this game until I saw this State of Play gameplay. Not so much.

What I was hoping for?: An edgy Arkham style game with new gen graphics where I get to hunt down JL and have boss battles with Supes, Bats, Flash, etc. Kick ass!!!

What we're getting?: a game curated game more by marketing and data (think Fortnite success...'we can have that $ too) than what people truly want. Grounded less in realism and more in ridiculousness (in vid, Squad spent more time hovering & jumping into thin air thanon the ground).

Been watching my kid play Gotham Knights - which in comparison looks way better than this.

I don't mind multiplayer loot driven games. I'm quite looking forward to the new Destiny expansion. However, not only does Suicide Squad look like a shit game to play, but it's also an extremely jarring continuation of a beloved game series. I'm having an extremely hard time believing that this game exists in the same world as the Arkham games.

With the gameplay having 4 characters at once, it was clearly made for multiplayer coop, and I think it would be fun with a squad of 4 people. Playing singleplayer with 3 bots…probably less so.

I’m probably out, but maybe I’ll try it at a steep discount.

Only the cinematics look good but the characters are unlikeable and VA seems bad. Gameplay looks bad, I don’t think Rockysteady have a lot of shooter mechanics in their pedigree. Definitely a game that will hit a subscription service within a year to boost its player base and the chances to sell battle passes and MTX. Might give it a go on mute and skipping scenes then.

Superheroes with exposed faces do not translate into their new video game counterparts. On the very first impression, the game is off-putting to fans. And if you aren't a fan, they need to be more appealing to entice. Guardians of the Galaxy looked weird the entire time.

They changed the face of Spiderman for Remastered, but he's mostly contained to an iconic suit.

Batman worked because of Kevin Conroy.

Is there a good example of a Videogame version of a Superhero?

The graphics look pretty good and fluid, but we've all had enough of four-player team-up games too. I wonder if "Kill The Justice League" is just this season's story, and they're trying to go for episodic storytelling. It's a terrible name, really.

Zero interest.

The make great Batman games, I wanna play Batman, not some shitty 3rd rate bad guys in what looks like fortnite clone no46.

Arkham Knight released in 2015, so they wasted 8 years to create this piece of shit game... ffs

When they announced the game, I thought it would be super cool to play with the suicide squad in the style of Arkham games.

When I was watching the trailer, O was like Wtf?! King Shark with a gun? Then they said Third person shooter! What a waste! Then on top of that a live service game.

I hate that the story is going to be good! But I guess we’ll have to watch it on YouTube.

Disappointed.

Also with the battle pass there will be that insufferable grinding for cosmetic items.

I would of liked Rocksteady to have moved away from DC at some point, a Matrix game or other Warner properties.

I’d love to be wrong and it turn out to be a great game but I’m not feeling it at all. Gameplay and visuals are underwhelming

I don't get it. It seems like there's some good Arkham DNA in there but their presentation of it was confusing at best. Also, who thought it was a good idea to release two DCU four player co-op games within a year of each other?

Can he swing from a thread? Take a look overhead / Hey, there, there goes the Spider-Man
Think WB used a Monkey’s paw wish for Hogwarts to do so well. Tanked the rest of there games.

Haven’t followed the game at all, but just watched the State of Play showing. It looks like a no frill generic third person shooter.

Why would anyone play this over Outriders? At least that game’s got some bitchin’ elemental attacks and fun classes.

Not for me. Another game that replaces exploration and discovery with repetitive number crunching. Hard to believe this represents almost a decade of development.
I'll tell you why it took so long. It went into pre production at a time when live service games were peaking. Over the past few years, they realized live services have mostly overstayed their welcome, so they pivoted/rebooted into more of a coop looter shooter instead of hardcore online gaas.

It was an awful idea to begin with. Who the fuck wants to play as Harley Quinn, King Shark, Deadshot or Captain Boomerang?

They could've made a Superman game instead. Waste of time.

Damn boy, everyone loved the trailer it seems 🤣😅 imagine being the dev and going to check the YouTube trailer and everyone is shiting on it. You get immediately emotionally broken.
Stop making shitty games then. People are full of gaas, mtx, cosmetics, always online, co-op shitters.

Or just be honest and say you don't care cause you code for a wage, not for "art"

Gearscore in an action game means there is zero room for player skill, you just gring lowlevel enemies to increase your score to grind the same enemies, but now maybe of different color.
There is also zero chance of any meaningful and interesting boss encounters, since you are supposed to replay them over and over.
I bet there will be progression skips or speedups in the store.

Fuck any of this, I'm out.

Yep, man i felt so excited about rocksteady while they were making the arkham games, to see them go from that to…this trend chasing micro transaction infested gaass bull shit that will get shut down and rendered unplayable within the next 5 years…its just fucking depressing

Looked pretty good to me but I haven't played games like this very much so I'm not burned out on them nor do I yet know how the monetization works. I like the idea of the story and the voicework.

Went with "I'm in" when it's more of a need more info kind of thing. Looks to be a solid 75 game from a studio with a good history. The only thing so far that annoys me are the guns sounding a little too samey. Other than that it's great they're going all in on the weird for this.

This is almost as bad as the first suicide squad movie... for myself it looks fun but definitely not a day one buy. I'm holding off for sale, and if I read its obsoletely fun af, already have games to hold me out for most of the year.

Might have been ok if you actually PLAYED as the 4 different characters using their specific abilities etc that they're known for. Wheres boomerangs..boomerangs? King Shark jumping around shooting at people? Deadshot flying around using assault rifles? Fuck off.
Easy to see why Sefton Hill and his pal jumped ship when they did, they went from underdog devs making the 3 best Batman games ever made to this dogshit.

My interest was low earlier as I just don't like these type of games, and the gameplay from State of Play just reaffirmed it. I'll pick Jedi Survivor over this game

I'm hopeful due to the fact that I love the Arkham games, but that trailer and live service stuff does make me wary.

But it doesn't look anything like the previous games, if it wasn't for Rocksteady, I couldn't be able to make the connection between the Arkham Series and this game

It's the tone, the art-style, the fact that characters keep air-slidding the whole time while shooting at bullet sponges, the "quips"...
