Only works if you shun all outsiders and create a locked up tight little community. WUST was one of the worst things to happen on GAF for a while. It was like some sort of console war supersoldier breeding programme.

I don't doubt IdeaMan has a couple real sources, I mean its hard not to really if youve been around this industry peripherally for long enough, but to complain about low framerates back in April doesn't make them the sharpest tool in the shed you should be paying much attention to. Also it pays to be skeptical of exactly why an individual would be sharing more Nintendo tidbits than any other despite having access to all.

2) First Wii U dev kit using classic controller rather than Gamepad - date: 02/06/2012 - confirmed weeks after by vgleaks

I could continue like this for a least ten points, the most notable is the memory architecture, with 2GB of total ram and 1GB for games, 1GB for OS, confirmed a semester after.

All this to say what ? I believe in my source (that aren't saying the PS4 situation is terribad, just that, at that time, a few weeks before E3, they got issues with their dev kit and their games).

Well, compare the aggregate of all the leaks from board members, between the Wii U and the PS4 + Xbone combined. You have your answer. For the latter, nearly all was leaked by proper websites, official documentations, etc, whereas it was far more sparse for Wii U. But still, i think a few could confirm and even provide logs that i have revealed on the neshaders IRC the breakdown of the first Xbone Dev kit memory (12GB for the kit, 8GB planned for retail) a few weeks before it was confirmed here, as well as the appearance of this first dev kit before all the ebay sales drama. So no, those sources aren't Nintendo-only developers.

What does that have to do with this?

I'm still waiting for you to explain how a revised shipping estimate somehow proves the problems with the development environment you claim to exist.

I think the point is mostly that your source tells you that THEY had issues with PS4 devkits and from this you extrapolate that Sony is in a rush etc, even citing janky framerate in E3 demoes. That's a ridiculous stretch. Especially given how the dev community has been very outspoken on the matter for months, and extremely happy overall.

It's simple, like i said, those sources who were pretty accurate on sometimes very precise info, sometimes confirmed a whole semester after, are the same that reported me this PS4 and Xbone info. By presenting their good track record, i explain why i believe in them.

Well, i have spent my time saying that it may be relevant only for my sources. But as they are rather competent and big, i doubt they would be the sole devs to feel that way, although it's possible.

Oh yeah? Well I have an Xbox One power brick on my desk with no console to plug it into, therefor I have insider knowledge or something.

That said though, Im not completely joking, this thing looks better suited to the xbox slim than the xbox one, why is it curvy?

I figured Gaf was freaking out for no reason. I don't doubt the PS4 will be fine. I can handle a delay on my system if I must. However, I gather this is nothing more than a discussion on memory/bandwidth....correct?

No big deal.

Well, let's hope the framerate situation comes the PS4 launch will be satisfying, i plan to buy and i am cutting-edge-tech-for-consoles-addict since the 80s so i wouldn't take joy at a disappointing and/or problematic situation.

Like i said, i usually employ tons of precautionary words and semantic boundaries between the info and what i think (because i refuse to be a robot only reporting data and not getting involved), most people have understood that back in the day, you just have to carefully read the posts before adopting the "anti-ideaman" anti-TOS stances (like this one) of the same few who desperately lack humor, take everything too seriously, and like to bitch against me since one year :p

No offence, but I am just going to say this, If anyone here spent enough time browsing the net and reading enough nuggets of information, then made vauge-enough-to-overreach-the-initial-claims as you do, in most cases the result will be a positive or at a push, a neutral that can be, with enough effort, molded into a positive.

The great benefit of reporting "insider" knowledge is that you dont REALLY put yourself in the firing line, because if you stick your neck out and make a claim you are not really sure about (see initial paragraph) its a 50/50 on being right or wrong, if youre lucky and get it right, its further "proof" for you to look back on with future claims, "see i was right then, ill be right now", if you end up wrong then you just chalk it up to the "source" being wrong, misunderstanding what "my source told me", or just plain old "my sources info was old, things changed" excuse, but ultimately if it doesnt go your way you simply sweep it under the rug and try to make everyone focus on the things that did.

In short, the pinch of salt I take with your posts is a replica of the iceberg that sunk the titanic.
