Pokemon only disobey you if they're traded. Pokemon you catch will always obey.

This only applies to Traded Pokemon.

The game talks about how badges make pokemon obey you and how traded pokemon can get unruly, but it's never made clear that the rule applies only to traded pokemon. It's not too surprising that there's such a widespread misconception about it.
Getting those first few levels in Pokemon Tower is gonna be painful.

I don't mind the idea of democracy mode. I just think that we've made so much more progress in anarchy WHILE having the option of democracy, so democracy is inhibiting progress. ;-;
