Cooter

Lacks the power of instantaneous movement
I'm in pretty far but have yet to hear the classics Zelda theme. Does it ever make an appearance?

Apparently there are some kind of stealth fish? Well they sure got their Solid Snake on because I have never encountered a single one and need some to upgrade some clothes.

There's a fish shop in Zora's Domain, where I got pics of some fish I was missing. Definitely has at least similar breeds of fish as the stealth ones, so it might have what you need.

Did my first divine beast
ruta
. Wasn't particularly difficult but it felt cinematic, especially the final scene with
mipha
.

I enjoyed carrying one of the items past their apparent area of usefulness, then smashing regular enemies about the head with them. Good times.

Yup. I was careless so every time I dropped
a box they fell off the side into the lava. I ran back, grabbed a door and just bashed stuff out of my way.
It felt awesome.

I really hate having to aim when hitting something that was frozen in time. I'm just bad at it.

I got to this shrine where I have to hit a ball just enough so that it can land on a small platform the other side of a hole and I.keep.missing because the arrow isn't straight and I run out of time trying to make it so. I think I broke 2 or 3 of my weapons before giving up yesterday.
Z target and then do little adjustments. If you want the secret,
hit with sword first once, then 5 times with a hammer.

I'm still early in BOTW on the WiiU and it blows my mind how nintendo got this to work as good as it did on that hardware. I know the framerate isn't that consistent but the fact that it runs at all when its pouring rain and all those weather effect are going on blows my mind.

Nintendo employs wizards.

Just beat the final boss after about 70 hours.
I really hope the DLC story is an Epilogue. I'd like to see Zelda take a more direct role.

Yall know those little stumps with the korok leaf symbol imprinted on them? What am I supposed to do after I active them? I'm 80+ hours into the game and still have no idea.

You race to the circle/timer that pops up in the distance before time runs out.

I guess there may be other challenges, but I've only ever seen the "race to location before time runs out" ones, kinda like how the pinwheel ones are about shooting targets.

When the timer starts going,
look around for a circle of yellow dots. You need to run/jump/glide through that circle before time expires.

I guess I'm running into the bug where I am now never seeing any Blood Moons at all for the past two (real) days. Is there a workaround ?

One of my biggest complaints tbh

Targeting, then releasing the targeting, and trying to re-target to center your shield is sometimes just impossible.
This is easily the worst part of the game, and probably the main difficulty for lynels. The camera has no clue what it wants to do and allows the enemies to get between you and it. I understand the "cinematic" look they were going for, but like in Star Fox zero, it makes the gameplay suffer. In sfz you have to look down at the targeting reticule so you can fly through obstacles, which takes away from even seeing your ship do all the cool stuff, as the camera on the main screen is purposely unaligned so you must look down. Then you have to double tap the trigger to realign it, which with a Lynel, means you're dead half the time from this maneuver.

I'm around 52 hours into the game and have less than 60 shrines found. I can't imagine how many hours it would take to find them all, or if I even want to find them all. On one hand I want to see all of the puzzles the game has to offer, on the other I'm sure I'd get burnt out before getting all 120.

There's also still a lot of things I've read about that I have yet to find. For one I've never found a Lynel in the wild other than the mandatory one in the Zora Divine Beast quest. I have no idea where Eventide Island is, or where to find the Hylian Shield. I've seen the dragons flying around but have no idea if I'm supposed to fight them.

I have 3 or 4 more towers/areas on the west side of the map to explore still, and only the Gerudo divine beast left. What a crazy long game! I never imagined a Zelda game could have this much to do.

I'm not entirely sure about this. I don't know if it's once per encounter or if there is just some kind of cooldown.

I was hunting
Naydra near Mt Lanayru - East Gate
. I was sitting up on a ridge and watching for it to spawn in the distance. When it did, it followed its path down the mountain and into the valley beneath me. This allowed me a clear shot and let me harvest my
horn piece.

After retrieving the item drop, I climbed back up the mountain with the intention of making camp and waiting for it to appear again, but to my surprise, it was already close by and seemed to be passing through the path again. I took another shot and got another item for my trouble.

So the possibilities are...
1. It's possible to get a second item after you have picked up your first one.
2. It's possible to get a second item after a certain cooldown time.
3. It spawned twice, once immediately after the other, and approached my vantage point again without me noticing.

I don't know which it is.

I also had an issue where
Dinraal wouldn't give me a horn no matter how many times I reloaded the save. I would hit it right in the horn, unmistakably, but would only get a scale. Either the hitbox for the horns are broken or you always get a scale, no matter what, the first time you shoot the dragon. This could be done for the benefit of the Spring of Widsom/Courage/Power quests.

I bet the trigger is you have to pick the first one up first, then you can get a second.

Anywhere in particular? Been cutting tons of grass, not a single drop.

You can by it at a lot of places. Particularly, I know
Rito village
has it.

Quick question,
are you able to take pictures of the Divine Beasts somehow even when you defeat them. I forgot to take a picture of Van Medoh earlier, but I did take a picture of Van Medoh's Ganon. I'm worried that I would have restart the game again. :/
I wanna 100% complete the game.

So I'm at 112 shrines...can't believe I found all those without any guide, but here we are. Got 8 more to go and I'm not sure how I'm going to be able to do it without looking at a map or something. Anyone have any shrine hunting advice? My current plan is to warp to towers and just fly around until I get a shrine sensor beep.

Some shrines are hidden through quest as you probably have seen. Shrine pedestals will be visible but don't trigger the sensor.

there are shrines way out of any towers reach.

Others don't even have a visible pedestal and can be found only through quests.

It looks like this is going to be my first Zelda I don't complete 100%. It's way too massive and it's getting kinda tiring.

Ok. Glad to see it isn't me that struggles with Lynel fights because of this exact problem.

Nope, the AI just sucks balls and sentries are the worst enemy to deal with in this game.
Are you trying to make him avoid the sentries' lights? You just have to park him behind, destroy the sentries by dropping stuff on them/throwing bombs and call him. I really enjoyed that part and AI gave me not a single problem, because he must do nothing.

Hebra has a lot of shrines. In some regions there are shrines close to each other. Some
shrine quests you may have done already without getting the quest itself.

A few are hidden in mountains where you have to find an entrance.

I wasn't ready for that difficulty spike lol

Well, 3rd dungeon done at least.

Almost a broken pro controller later lol

I knoooow its a little late but - backdodge his teleport slash attack, and your flurry will always bop im, usually you can knock him to the floor and pulverize him. Just keeping your shield up during his teleport attack is also safe since he just hits the shield.

That fight guardian vs Talus is amazing
Damn Nintendo, even after player 100 hours, you're still surprising me!

This is now my second favorite game of all-time; the amount of surprises is staggering. Last night I found the Robin Williams NPC, and I actually got a little misty-eyed.
