Someone answer me this. If you had a contract with Disney and lost that job, would you not stop and reflect on how your behavior can affect job opportunities? If that wasn't the biggest wake-up call to change behavior, that person is irredeemable.

As a Black person, I know that even talking about racial grievances can get me perceived as playing the race card and militant and he we have a white person who has had every single opportunity given to him and he can't even stop and be grateful for that.

Little kids are his biggest audience and his apology didn't go far enough because he didn't explain what that racial slur meant, and how it's used to target Black people. When you have an audience made up of children it's up to you to be responsible. Kids are going to now think it's okay to use the n word and very quickly they will be held accountable by their parents or at school when they are suspended.

If this was his first issue with being scum, I would say okay...maybe he can learn. But someone like PDP who has millions of dollars can't even assemble a team to educate him on being decent? Come on now.

And just look at the dislike ratio of videos calling PDP out. That's who I have to deal with in my everyday life. It's a problem that has never been addressed because money has only been the bottom line. If advertisers start being even pickier about content, I feel bad for smaller youtubers but this type of behavior has to stop.

Sorry, it was a heated apology moment.

How much money will be make off that apology video? Abs what advertiser's are on his channel anyways. The least we can do is contact them direct and say we are boycotting their products?

zero. almost anything political has been demonetized on youtube in the last few months

I think he is afraid that he'll lose sponsors... Lol.

How about working like a normal person? Playing videogames while others watch it. I don't understand this world we are living in...

Not a very forgiving crowd we have here, as long as someone is sorry and wants to better himself why should he be denied the chance. Hope he really learned from it and be a better person for it cos his influence on kids is frankly scary

Just because someone doesn't believe his apology does not mean they are denying him the chance to better himself. Not everyone deserves to be given the benefit of the doubt before they live up to their words.

What an idiot, he really didn't learn anything from the last times, but ofc his viewers will eat this apology up. It's just a waiting game until he slips up again.

after 'death to all jews'

after the multiple rape and gay 'jokes' and slurs

after the racial slurs

"Why wont you forgive him after he said sorry once?"

Yes, its not as if he's a repeat offender or anything who is constantly enabled by his audience to not be sorry about anything in particular

It took him 2 fucking days to say "lol guys I'm just an idiot." He has made rape jokes, Nazi jokes, has used homophobic slurs and now racist slurs. That's not just being an idiot just like voting for Trump is not just "economic anxiety." If you are still defending him, well, you know exactly what you are defending AND enabling. I can't wait until he makes the next mistake, because you know he will.

Oh, and don't click the video. The scumbag monetized the video because of course he would.

He didn't even say he "wants to better himself". You can already see his influence on kids in the comments section. Damage has already been done. For years. Why forgive when he hasn't learned after the three other scandals he's had? When no action has been taken to avoid this?

I owe it to my audience and my self to be better than this etc.. shrugs you guys have a already made up your minds nothing he says or do will be enough. I rather just hope that he learns from this and be a better person for the kids that looks up to him.

If i had 57 million viewers that were all graciously willing to follow me over the cliff, I'd probably be ok not fucking with disney.

The things he's saying and doing are racist statements and "jokes" after countless non-apologies like this.

At what point do you realize this is like his 3rd apology for racist shit in the past year? You think he'll learn? Nah.

It would've been nice if he used the opportunity to explain to his impressionable viewership why it's wrong for him to use that word, why it makes others so upset, and why we should be mindful of what we say. Try to educate people as to not be like him.

But he didn't. So as far as I'm concerned it's just lip service, and I doubt he's changing his behaviour beyond being more careful to let his true persona come out when the cameras are on.

Guy can't even get through that poorly written/acted schlock without jump cuts.

To me, the problem wasn't him saying it. Yes it's its terrible and never should been said. But by the time he's said it he's already a few wrong turns in a bad neighborhood.

Why is that in his lexicon at all? I want to take some steps back and ask why that word is any sort of default to have as an insult?

I think good people can make bad decisions. But I wanna know why that's a word your mind defaults to at all.

Disappointed he took so long with the apology, hard to believe it was for any other reason than to work out how to best manage the PR for the situation. If he was sincere he would have expressed his shame immediately instead of the radio silence to see if it was going to blow up to be big enough to warrant a response.
If one thing has struck me from incidents like this it's how far removed many of the modern Twitch streamers are from the enthusiast who streams for their love of games and their community. It's really nothing more than a business for many of these now and statements and apologies such as these are for no other purpose than to diffuse a cloud which is potentially damaging to their earnings.

TBH I'm more disappointed in YouTube, Twitch, PUBG. They are in the unique position to offer repercussions for him being a racist, but do nothing. Yet they will continue to let hate define their platforms.

This too. Would be nice for these platform holders to take a stand, but they love their golden goose too much.

Not surprised people are leaping over themselves to offer support for this guy.

I'm curious, though. What will it take for people to see through this guy's BS? He gets away with anti-semiticism, he gets away with the shouting 'nigger'. What's it going to take for this guy to lose all support from fans? Like for real, I'm asking.

Racists have no sense of responsibility. They expect their bigotry to just be accepted and have no grasp on how powerful words can be, mostly because they have never been discriminated.

Worthless thrash, there is no apology that can undo the bigoted asshole that he is. Because of him millions of kids will grow up and say the same thing.

If he worked for a television channel he would have been fired already.

He hasn't learned after this being the fourth scandal. Read up on the history of his rape jokes, homophobic slurs, and Nazi jokes. He has said the N word THREE times. He has made no actions. He hasn't become a better person.

Given him plenty of chances and he hasn't learned so forgive me for not believing this apology and want to be better.

I don't believe this corporate PR- like apology because I have a feeling he'll say some racist shit again.
It's only a matter of time.

I wish I didn't read the comments...

Nope. I'm not a forgiving crowd because to be forgiven you have to feel bad about what you did and this dude sure as hell does not. See the original video. See his past 4 stunts. I may forgive him if he deletes his account though.

Protip: People who genuinely feel ashamed of their actions and want to better themselves aren't going to stop trying just because someone on the internet was mean to them. If he really wants to make himself a better person, he'll do it regardless of how we treat him and he'll accept that there were consequences to his words and actions, some of which might never be undone.

His track record is not one that earns him instant forgiveness. His inability to use the moment to guide his followers better is notable.

He has earned little today from the people of color (and those who were simply raised better by their parents but liked him) whom he offended directly. I hope he does learn from this situation for the sake of his impressionable fans...but again, his track record suggests otherwise.

He will have to earn a better standing. Over time. A long period of time.

Yep. Bunch of greedy fucks. Shame that the only companies we can hope to punish racists like him are advertisers, when it would be so much easier for platform holders to just give him the boot.

YT should've banned his ass after all that anti-Semitic shit came out and he got duped by Disney. But YT will put up with anything on their platform as long as it brings in viewers I guess.

It is alright, did not expect much more. What else could he have said, except "I am going to quit this business", I am wondering.
