Jesus. One of my only complaints about this latter half of the season has been, aside from a few superficial alterations, it has generally adhered to the source material.

Looks like they're rectifying that in amazing fashion with this finale.

I really wanna see a season four of this show but I know it can never happen.

i'm probably in the minority but I don't mind the series being cancelled. I loved s1 and s2 and if it had continued in that vein or been different(more to my liking) from what we got with s3 I'd most likely been devastated.

For me s3 has been a disappointment and a few quirks of the show are starting to get on my nerves. I actually liked the show more when it did original material or took vast liberties with the lore. The issue I have is that so much of the writing and imagery in this season is very similar to what we've seen in the movies and for whatever reason I find that it doesn't work very well. With the first two seasons I came to accept and appreciate that this is an alternate interpretation on the whole plot and all its characters, to the point that I started viewing the book/movie hannibal and the series as completely different material. But every time the story progresses frame by frame as in the original material/adaptions I feel some discord and start to loose interest. Leading up to the early episodes of this season I was hyped about seeing the iconic stuff we knew so well from the movies but now in hindsight I would have liked them to change things up more or even completely skipped the material.

With s1 and s2, every week I was full with anticipation waiting for the next episode but this time around I find myself not caring very much and only watch it when I'm bored and has nothing else to do.
