Against better judgment, Red was directed to Eevee instead of gaining Lapras. They then followed this by buying a fires stone with their money instead of a water stone, meaning no Vaporeon, meaning no Surf. A mix-up at the computer caused Charmeleon and Rattata to be released. Flareon has led us astray.

I dunno, the whole stupid democracy vs anarchy thing burnt me out. I kept thinking "we're wasting time arguing about this shit when we should be coordinating to get the key." Because we could do it. Rocket Base isn't the hardest area in the game; I think the first Ledge was worse and we beat that. Hell, I think Rock Tunnel was worse since we only beat it through sheer luck of boxing Digrat.

But nooo, we had to waste time arguing about whether we were Anarchists or Democrats.

No, we weren't. I've been here since 1800 viewers, and early on the dynamic was while we were absolutely hopeless at movement, we were always progressing in a clear direction. Heading off to totally random places didn't happen, what did happen was 3 hours of trying to walk in a straight line. Even during the wars we didn't go to random places; we just went round in circles. The fact we've gone all the way as far as behind the houses for no reason indicates to me that the anarchy/democracy system is so distracting that the bots are putting in more direction inputs than users.

once it's actually cleared it'll be amazing

messing with that lessens the impact



besides if the maze is so fucking hard they should just buy pokedolls and hope to god they don't toss them. seems easier.

The game has opened up compared to the linear sections of early game. The way is less clear to the majority of people and/or there are conflicting ideas of what we should be doing.

Here's the thing, whether people like it or not, trolls are part of this experience as well. The feelings of success came from overcoming all these odds and moving forward despite the chaos.

Now all of that is gone and people are more focused on choosing what system they want instead of progression. Which also means the trolls get a lot of power as they can influence the game even more by actually focusing on typing movement and input commands.

That would be true if we were oscillating between, say, Celadon and Saffron, but we're not. We're dicking around behind houses (or were). Even allowing for non-linearity, there was no reason to go there.

Chat got Eevee. Party was full as a result.

Chat needed a Pokemon that could surf so they attempted to buy a water stone to get a Vaporeon, but bought a fire stone instead.

Evolved eevee into Flareon, but still needed a pokemon that could learn surf, so they attempted to deposit some pokemon to make room in the party.

Ended up releasing Charmeleon (Abby) and Ratatta (Jay Leno) into the wild as a result. Flareon, the false prophet, claims its first victims.
